The next weeks were nothing special. Charlie recovered from his wound, although he still has pain sometimes, but then I would help him.

We didn't found any new letters, but we did find some new interesting info. I trusted Max and Nate enough to let them come to my house, so we decided to hang out today since we had to go back to Criminal Minds.

We still haven't won their trust, but we are lucky to have Nate and Max at our side.

Charlie met them and they immediately clicked. Max was a bit of a jerk at first, but he is a really nice guy. You can clearly see he is broken just as much as I am. We are basically the same. We are all the same in this god damn world.

We all have our problems, we are all broken. But no one shows it. It is the insecurities that make us the way we are. It is society who fucks with our brain, not ourselves.

It is what other people do.

But I don't give a flying fuck anymore about what people say. They can shove their comments far up in their asses. I am not afraid anymore.
I can conquer everything.

I just was about to put on my brown wig, when Nathaniel and Max walked in, without knocking. I turned around and they stood there with their mouths wide open.

So much for being anonymous.

Max is the first one to speak. "Damn girl, you are one sexy piece of-"he didn't get to finish his sentence, because Nate stomped him. He crouched over in pain and I could only laugh. My laugh faded when I met Nathaniel's eyes.

They were full of broken trust.

"Nate, I can explain-"I started, but he didn't let me finish.

"What do you want to explain, Samantha, if that's even your real name." he said skeptically.

"No, it's not. It's Chloe Cramel." I muttered before he went on.

"Why would you do that? Why would you lie to us like this? I thought we were friends! I thought you were the only one who was honest with me, but I guess I was wrong. You are just like all the others." His eyes turned cold and he made an attempt to walk away.

I couldn't let him go, not like this.

"How was I supposed to tell you, huh? Should I just say, 'hey guys, my dad was possibly murdered by one of your gang members, so I work undercover to try and find the killer, nice to meet you'" I yelled in his face. "Do you think it was easy for me to lie, when you were the only one who was nice to me?"

His shocked look said it all. "I am so sorry Chloe, I didn't know-"

"No you didn't know, so why did you judge me?" I asked, hurt filling my voice. Max just stared at me. For once, I saw him show a little emotion towards me.

Nathaniel's eyes were filled with worry and regret. He didn't know, I get that, but I am sick and tired of being judged. He didn't even know my story, so how could he judge me.

I think I do give a fuck about what people think.

Nate took a step closer, when Max stopped him. "Can I talk to her alone please?" Max whispered in a quiet voice and Nathaniel agreed unwillingly. I knew he wanted to make it up to me, but it was for the best he left me alone for a while.

When I was out the door, I let out a sigh and sat down on my bed. Max hesitantly came towards me and sat down next to me.

"There is no need to be afraid of me, I am still the same person, only a different look." I muttered quietly while Max got comfortable next to me.
