My mouth opened in shock and my eyes widened. I couldn't find the words to speak as I took in his appearance. He didn't change at all. He still has that dorky face, and his blond hair. The only difference is his length.

Damn, this guy is tall.

"B-Blaze?" my voice spoke. When a frown appeared on his face, I realized my mistake. I wasn't Chloe, I was Sam.

Shit.

"How do you know my name?" he asked while getting closer. I gulped but kept the eye contact. Then I remembered, I hated this guy. My eyes narrowed and the shock turned into anger. Anger for Charlie.

Eight years ago, when Charlie and I were ten, Blaze was fourteen. He was a troubled kid, but for Charlie, he was always his big brother.

The one to look up to.

One day, Blaze left. Charlie told me he came to his room, whispering something about not coming back for a while. Charlie cried for days, because his lovely brother was gone. He always kept hope he would return, but he never did.

Not until now.

Charlie's dad and Blaze never got along. They always fought about the most idiotic things, and I can remember all the days I hear them screaming to each other. The day before Blaze left, he finally pulled the last straw with his dad.

His dad told him to leave. He told him to leave, and never come back. I remember that day very well. I had heard the whole conversation, while Charlie was sleeping. He didn't leave willingly, but he never came back to look for Charlie.

He just never cared enough.

I always liked Blaze. He had this determination and good will in him, he only mingled with the wrong people. The people from the opposite gang. The moment he left, I felt nothing but hatred towards him. How could he be so heartless? He could've tried to contact Charlie, or talk to his dad, but no. His pride got in the way, and that's the reason how he end up here.

I looked at him in disgust as I stepped away from him. "Don't come closer." I snapped at him. "How come you're back?" I asked him. The curiosity was getting the better of me, and I could just make up a story about how I knew Charlie.

"Back? I never left." His voice was full of confusion and denial. I took a step closer as I clenched my fists.

"You never left huh? So you want to tell me you didn't leave your brother eight years ago and suddenly disappeared? You want to tell me you haven't caused him pain? You are such a dick." I raised my fist to punch him but he caught it.

"You don't want to go there." He hissed at me. A smirk appeared on my face and I raised my other hand.

"Are you sure?" I asked while hitting him in the face. He stumbled backwards as his eyes widened.

"You just made the biggest mistake girl." He stormed my way, and that's when I realized this was Blaze. He was as strong as a thousand men.

I need to learn how to stay out of trouble.

When he saw the fear in my face he smirked. "Not so tough now huh?" He stopped right in front of me and looked me in the eyes.

"You have no right to judge. You don't even know me, so you don't know what I've been through. Keep your mouth shut the next time." He was about to walk away, but my big mouth had to stop him.

"I don't know you? I know you better than most people do in here! I think I am the only one in here who knows you dad told you to go away. He abandoned you, and you are too ashamed to admit it. Blaze the trouble maker, abandoned by his own dad." I was mocking him. He deserved it. A smug smile appeared on my face as his eyes widened.

He came walking back towards me and looked me in the eyes. "Chloe?" he asked in a small voice. My eyes widened again.

I wasn't supposed to know this.
"W-Who is Chloe?" I stuttered. He raised his eyebrow skeptically and I sighed. There was no way to get out of this.

"What do you want Blaze?" I narrowed my eyes at him and a bright smile covered his face. Suddenly, he pulled me in a hug.

"Chloe! I missed you so much! You changed a lot though, where did your blonde hair go? You are such a beautiful woman now!" His whole face changed and it looked like he was genially happy to see me. I awkwardly patted his back until he let go of me.

"Shut up you prick. I am not Chloe in here, I'm Samantha. This is a wig and my eyes have lenses." I hissed in his way. His eyes twinkled in amusement as he decided to make fun of me.

"Why are you here? Did you want to look for cute guys?" I almost laughed but remembered this is Blaze.

"No I am here on a mission." I didn't know why I told him all this, but he was still the guy I once knew. I guess I don't have the right to be mad at him, but Charlie does.

"What mission?" He was suddenly serious as his eyes showed concern.

"The mission to find the murderer of my dad." I whispered softly. His eyes widened and he took a step closer.

"Your dad was killed? Chloe, I am so sorry." His eyes showed how much he understood my pain. I nodded my head and smiled a little.

"Blaze, can I ask you something?" I didn't want to talk about my dad so I changed the subject.

"Of course Sam, always."

"Why did you never come back to see us?" I said, hurt filling my voice. He was a good friend of me too. I could remember how he always protected me as if I was his own little sister.

His eyes grew cold and he looked at the ground. "There was so much going on in my life, I just couldn't find a way to talk to you guys. It would've been too dangerous if they saw me with you, so I decided it was better to stay away. Even if I hurt myself with that." He looked at me again, his eyes a bit gloomy.

"I never forgot about you two. I thought about you every day, but when I grew older, I didn't want to mope around anymore. I moved on. I fought my hardest to survive in this world, and then I learned about Criminal Minds.

I knew it was the enemy of my dad, so to take revenge on him, I joined them. I never regretted my decision, not even now." The fire in his eyes and the hatred in his voice were clear. He didn't want to go back, not ever.
I laid a hand on his shoulder to tell him it was going to be alright.

"I understand Blaze, but don't think I forgive you so soon." He nodded his head and smiled a bit.

"I hope Charlie will forgive you. He is here you know." Blaze looked up and in his eyes shined something. I think it was desire and hope.

He wanted to see his little brother again.

"Where?" I saw someone walking into the room and recognized the person as Charlie. I removed my hand from Blaze's shoulder and smiled.

"Right behind you."
