Third's POV

(Y/n) was always a kind woman. A ninja so elegant and beautiful as a flower. A worrior strong enough to protect her loved ones. She was more than willing to give her life in order to save someone's else and that's what she almost did.

-"Sometimes you act really carelessly." the angry voice of a man told her.

-"Come on Kakashi. I am fine." (Y/n) told him having a big smile.

Her body was laying on a hospital's bed resting as it was almost covered in bandages or gypsum. However that didn't face her at all as her energetic personality and aura haven't changed a bit. A smile was always placed on her sweet face as her eyes continued to glow with hope.

-"You can't move an inch. How is that fine?" Kakashi asked her.

His tone was stern and angry. He wanted to scold her more for her bad decisions. He wanted to make her understand how dangerous are the things that she is doing, but he knew very well that he couldn't do anything her mulish mind.

-"You need to calm down love. All this stress is going to kill you!"

She tried to laugh at her own joke, but that ended up in a groan since the pain was too much for something like that. Kakashi sighed at her childish behavior not bothering to argue back. Sometimes she was too much of a troublemaker even for him, but he wasn't willing to change her for anything else in the whole world.

-"You are never going to change." he told her as he laid back on his chair defeated.

-"A fighter never quits!" she answered with a big smile.

-"But that fighter needs to learn her limits, because next time I won't be fast enough to save her."

-"That's not true you know." she told him in a relaxed tone as her (e/c) eyes were locked with his.
-"You always were my hero and I expect you to continue being one."

-"Things have changed (Y/n). More dangerous and long lasting missions are coming. I can't be around as much anymore."

His voice was quiet and sad. He was frustrated that he couldn't be there anymore, but Naruto, Konoha's future hero, needed him more than anything right now. He really wanted to prioritize her as always, to give her his everything, but he couldn't anymore. Someone else needed his help right now in order to save their home and the whole world.

-"I know that things aren't the same anymore, but I can always hope and dream as I will be out there." she told him smiling softly.

Kakashi stared at her for a few minutes without answering or telling her anything else. He wanted to suggest something, but he didn't know how she would take it. (Y/n) trained from a young age to be a worthy ninja. Always fighting and protecting her teammates and her home. She wasn't strong enough to face someone like him, but she was strong enough to drain his chakra and tire him for someone else to fight. An excellent ninja that loved what she was doing more than anyone.

-"You are very skeptical. What's going on?" she asked him confused as he kept staring at her.

-"I want to suggest something." Kakashi told her as he took a deep breath.

-"Go ahead." she told him frowning, since she knew very well what he was thinking.

-"I want you to quit from the missions."

-"Kakashi we have talked about this. I love my job and everything that has to do with it. I am not quiting."

-"Listen (Y/n) -"

-"No!" she told him in a serious voice.

She was ready to sacrifice everything for him, but this was something out of limits. She wasn't going to become a housewife or anything like that. She wasn't ready for that. The danger and the adrenaline of her missions were what made her wake up every day and continue fighting. She wasn't going to give up on it so easily.

-"I love my job and you know it! I don't want to live without it!" she told him as she stared at him.

-"I know, but I am not asking you to quit entirely." Kakashi told her as he took hold of her hand.
-"I want you to quit going on long and away from Konoha missions until the war and anything else that has to do with it finish."

-"That's going to take some time you know." she told him confused.

-"I know, but in the meantime you will focus on getting well and taking care of the villagers."

(Y/n) stared at him confused. She was expecting a heated argument or something like that, since they always argue about that subject. However, something had changed this time. His tone was calmer and his thoughts more reasonable. It was like he was afraid of something. It was like he wanted to protect her in a different than usual way.

-"You are afraid that you will die, aren't you?" she asked him frowning.

-"I don't know what will happen out there, but I want to make sure that you will be fine." he answered as he sat beside her on the bed still holding her hand.

(Y/n) stared at him for a moment before sighing defeated. She didn't want to give up so easily, but she loved him too much to argue back with his fears.

-"Fine." she agreed, making Kakashi smile brightly.
-"But once everything ends I will be back out there!"

-"I don't mind." he told her as he approached her more.
-"I just want you to be safe for the meantime."

He softly touched his forehead to hers careful enough not to hurt her. His eyes looking deep inside hers as a small smile was painted on both of their faces. She was really beautiful. Even in this state with all those injuries she was the most beautiful woman he has ever laid his eyes on. And for her he was the strongest and most gentle man she has ever met.

-"I love you." she told him softly.

-"I know or else you would have never agreed with my suggestion." Kakashi told her as he pulled down his mask.

-"Well it's not my fault that you love a mulish woman like me." she told him with a giggle.

-"At least you are my mulish woman." he told her smiling before kissing her.

She was the biggest troublemaker he have ever met, but at least she was his. She was his problem to worry about and take care of. A man that could handle anything and anyone including a stubborn delicate flower as her.
