Naruto x reader / Confession

(Y/n),'s POV 

It was a chilly September night and I was waiting outside of the Hokage tower for Naruto. Last night he asked me to meet him here, but he isn't anywhere to be seen and I'm starting to wonder how much he learned from Kakashi. 

-"Sorry I'm late (Y/n)! Something happened to me while I was coming here." Naruto said while scratching the back of his neck and approaching me.

-"It's alright Naruto. At least you made it." I said, whispering the last part. 

-"I'm sorry what did you just said? I didn't hear you."

-"Nothing Naruto. What was that important thing that you wanted to tell me?"

-"Well what about a walk (Y/n)? Don't you think it's a good idea?" he said in an awkward tone.

-"Sure."

Naruto is acting weirdly these days. It's starting to throw me off. When he suggested meeting him today, some wishful thinking wandered through my heart. But that seems impossible to happen. I enjoyed thinking about it anyways. 

I've liked Naruto since we were genin, but I never had the chance nor the courage to tell him how I felt. I know that I have to tell him soon or later. I want to know how he feels about me too. 

He has to know how I feel about him.

We kept walking when I suddenly realized that we were near Ichiraku's Ramen shop. The one that Naruto loves the most.

-"Why is the shop open at this hour?" I asked him confused. 

-"What are you talking about, dummy? It's only 9 in the evening."

-"You are right." I said with an awkward smile. 

-"Are you hungry?" he asked me smiling.

-"Not too much. Why, are you hungry?"

"Yes, I'm hungry a lot, cause I was working."

-"What were you doing to make you so hungry? "

-"Oh... Well, I was helping Kakashi-sensei to carry some of his books."

You can guess what kind of books.

After that little talk, we sat at the ramen shop and ordered ramen. I wasn't that hungry as I said earlier so I didn't eat that much. On the other hand, Naruto was hungry and ate 8 bowls. That man and his big stomach are going to be a problem if we even stayed together. Only if... 

We didn't say a single word. We just kept eating without even looking at each other. When we finished our ramen I paid for mine bowl and Naruto for his.

-"So what's next, Naruto-Kun?" I asked him, but he didn't reply, he just kept staring at the Forth's Hokage statue.

-"Let's go up there." he said while pointing where he was looking.

I didn't reply. I just nodded and headed to where Naruto said to with him leading the way and me following close by.

After a while, we made it to the top of the Hokage statue. The view was the best. However, I wasn't wearing warm clothes though, so I started getting cold, because of the cold evening air.

-"Are you cold?" Naruto asked me all of a sudden. 

I nodded without looking at him when suddenly I felt his warmth around me. I instantly felt warmer, but that made me blush too.

-"Naruto why-"

-"(Y/n) let's enjoy the atmosphere." he said interrupting me. 

-"Yes but-"

-"The thing that I want to tell you isn't that simple (Y/n)." he said interrupting me once again, his bright blue eyes looking deep in mine. 

-"(Y/n) I have to tell you something really important so please just listen. After I finish I want you to tell me your answer. Okay?" he said with a serious voice making me worry a little.

I just nodded and let Naruto tell what he has to. He wrapped his hands around me tighter as he took a big breath before finally talking.

-"(Y/n) we know each other since Academy right?... Right! It's been a long time since then and now we are 18. Not 6 years old." he said and made a stop to sigh. 

-"A lot has happened through the past years and I want more to happen. But I want you by my side. " 

I looked at him, a little confused, but I didn't say anything. The truth is I knew where this was going, but I wanted to hear him say everything before answering. 

-"(Y/n) the thing that I want to tell you is that... is that I... I Love you (Y/n)! I've  loved you since the Academy!"

I started feeling something hot on my cheeks and then I realize that I was crying and blushing. I let the tears run, but a thumb cleared them for me quickly.

-"I... I love you too Naruto. I've been dreaming of this, since the academy too!"

After that, we hugged each other, and I gave him a quick peck on the cheek making him almost faint. His reaction was funny, but I didn't say anything. I just smiled as we enjoyed each other's company while staring down at Konoha from the statue. 

A new love had just blossom.
