(Y/n)'s POV

The forest was quiet today. The birds had stopped singing, the air had left the place and the animals were hidden. It was like something big was coming and only they knew about it. It was like they were afraid. However, humans knew exactly what all that meant.

It was that time of the year. The time that humans made an offering to the unknown. It was the day that a human was thrown to that old castle to be used and eaten by the monsters. It was a day full of fear and death.

Every year around this time a human was chosen to go to the old castle up the hill as a sacrifice. That sacrifice was good enough to keep the monster inside that place "happy" for the rest of the year. It was good enough to cover its hunger. So, like every other year a human was chosen from this village. It could be anyone, anybody, even a baby. However, this year I was chosen. It was my turn to go there, my turn to die.

Usually the people that got chosen would start panicking, screaming and trying to find a way to get away from all this. They would try to stay alive because they had a family, friends, a future to return to. However, I wasn't like that. I had nothing to return to. I was thrown to an orphanage from a young age and was forced to work so I could bring money to that place. So this, this sacrifice, was my liberty. It was my chance to die and get away from this awful life. It was time to end it all.

Things after this happened fast. They took me in a house, bathed me, dressed me and much more. Once I was ready they gave me a flower crown and dragged me to the gates of that castle. They didn't say much to me before pushing me inside. They just told me to have a quick death. A wish that I accepted as I was left alone in the garden of that castle. A wish that I will make true.

I started slowly walking in that garden towards the door of the castle. On my way there I could feel someone stating at me, stating at its prey. Yes that's what I was. A prey waiting for its death.

Suddenly, someone moved fast behind me making me look there. I didn't find anything. Whoever was watching me could move fast, really fast. It was fascinating. A human could never run this fast.

I ignore it for the time being and continued walking. I think I should be scared and stuff related to it, but I wasn't. I was calm. I was finally going to have the end I wanted to have. So once I reached the big door and was ready to open it I smiled. I smiled because I knew I was close.

-"You are calm."

A voice said suddenly making me stop. I looked around me spotting someone at my right looking at me. The fog couldn't let me see clearly so the only thing I saw on that person was his red eyes staring at me. For a moment I felt amazed by the color, since it was the first time I saw red eyes. Such a fascinating thing to see before death.

-"Beautiful." I mumbled as I continued looking at them.

-"You are strange. The rest used to run after this." that person told me making me understand that it was a man.

-"I don't see any reason to run." I answered as I started approaching him.
-"I am going to die anyway. So the faster it happens the better."

The man stared at me shocked as his eyes widen. He didn't move nor attacked me. He stayed still waiting for me to approach him. Once I was close enough I could see him clearly. He was indeed a man with long blonde hair and red eyes. His stare never left from my small figure as he continued looking at me shocked.

-"It would be an honor to die from the hands of a handsome man." I told him smiling softly.

-"You sound like you want to die." he told me curious.

-"I want. I don't find any reason of why I should continue living."I answered honestly.

He looked at me for a little before signing and scratching his head. He seemed troubled and in a lot of thoughts. It was like he was thinking about his next move.

-"Usually I would have given you already to Sasori, but I have a feeling that I shouldn't." he mumbled as he sighed.
-"Hey, do you want a reason to live?"

I stared at him confused bit really understanding the point of the question. I was here to die so peace in my village could continue existing. So what's the point of giving me hope and dreams?

-"I can show you a different world. A world that monsters exist. You can be part of it and find a reason there to live. Do you want to?" he asked me as he gave me his hand.

I stared at him both confused and surprised. He was trying to save me. He was trying to save a lost soul like mine. He wanted to pull me out of the coffin that I had entered by myself.

-"Why do you want to save me? I am here so you can kill me."

-"True. However I don't like how empty your eyes look. I can give you a chance. I can turn you to a vampire and you can have a second chance in life. If you like it good, if you don't you can end your life on your own." he explained as he was waiting for me to grab his hand.
-"So, what is your decision?"

I had came here to die. Yet, here I was standing with my killer talking. He was offering me a second chance. He was going to take me somewhere else, in a world that humans can't go and return alive. I had to admit that it was interesting. I was only a kid after all. I had seen nothing yet. So all this was much more than interesting to me.

-"I accept." I said as I put my hand in his.
-"Can I know my saviors name?"

-"Call me Deidara." he said as he started walking with me for the big door.
-"As for you, I will call you (Y/n). You need a new name in this second chance."

I didn't say anything. I just smiled liking how this was going. I was feeling safe. He was making me feel that. He was making me see things from another aspect, because he was offering me a second chance. He was offering me a new life that I could be happy eventually. And this was more than I could ever wish.

-"Now we are starting." he said as he opened the big door.

Yes, I eventually start my own happy story.

....

The end.
