Vampire Shino x Mermaid reader / Part 1

The world outside is cold. Tough. Full of unexpected surprises. Surprises that you regret seeing.

Have you ever wondered what is hiding outside?

Why you can't see everything?

Why secrets exist?

No?

Then start wondering now, because the world isn't like you have imagine it. It's more dark. A scary place to live. A scary place to exist.

-"They are watching you~"

Hungry voices. Deep voices. Scary voices. Voices that whisper sweet things to you and then drag you with them somewhere you won't be able to come out.

Voices that aren't from humans. Voices that are from secret places. Places you can't see. Places you can't find.

-"And they keep watching you until they take what they want~"

Monsters, demons, dark creatures.

That's how humans call them. That's how humans named what they are scared of or is differently from them.

But we call it supernatural too. Something not human, but something not entirely bad either.

Or am I wrong?

Shino's POV

It was a normal day. A day like every other one. Or that's what I thought.

At shiny days I go for fishing with my father. And since today it was a day like that, we prepared our little boat to sail at the sea.

-"He is hiding his mouth again."

A voice whispered to someone else, but I heard it clearly.

-"Do you think he is one of them? A Vampire?" a second voice asked the first one.

-"I don't know, but my mother told me to stay away from his family and him."

-"That's what mine told me too."

-"Ignore them." my father said winning my attention.
-"They could never understand us."

-"I know." I said and got up on the boat with him.

After a little we started sailing away from the small village we were living going deeper and deeper in the sea. The day was perfect so we catght many fishes to sale and keep for us too.

Suddenly I felt something bad coming our way. I looked in the water and the sky, but I didn't see anything. The feeling was strong so I couldn't ignore it.

-"Dad I think we should go back."

-"Why?"

-"I have a bad feeling."

-"It's just your imagination. What the kids said earlier may effected you. Try to ignore it." he said as he returned to his work.

I nodded and focused on catching more fish. The day was good for that after all. Worrying about stupid things won't help at all.

But I was so wrong.

I got lost in my thoughts that I didn't see the big storm that was comping our way. And when I saw it, it was already late. Big waves and a strong wind was making the ship move violently. I and my father tried to hold tight on it, but it was useless. I knew that we could get lost in the sea, since we were far away from the village. So it was useless trying to hold on.

-"I am sorry Shino that I didn't believe you!" my father shout at me.
-"Next time I will listen. If we have a next time."

I was ready to answer, but a strong wave flip the ship making us fall in the sea. I tried to go out the water, but when I did the waves pushed me back in. And before I knew it the air in my lungs finished making me slowly faint.

-"Is he a human?"

I heard a voice say as I started waking up slowly.

-"No. No. He has pointy teeth. Maybe he is a vampire."

The same voice said getting closer to me. That's when I opened my eyes. The first thing I saw was a blurry figure. That person must saw that I woke up, because he left as a sound of something falling in the water followed.

I groaned as I lifted my hand and rubbed my eyes to get rid of the sleepiness I was feeling. After that I sat up, on the small bed I was on, looking around the room. I was in a cave. A cave that looked like home. It looked nice.

I tried to get up, but an intense pain in my right foot didn't let me do it. Maybe I got hurt when I fell from the boat or when I fainted and the water hit me on a rock. But regardless that I am perfectly fine, since I don't see or feel anything else hurting on my body.

-"You have only that wound."

A voice said making me look around. I tried finding the one who talked, but no one else was there.

-"In the water."

The same voice said making me look in the water. In the middle of the cave, there was a big hole that was full with crystal clear water. Beautiful. But what was even more beautiful was the girl that was in hiding in it and having only her eyes out looking at me.

-"Thank you for saving me." I told her.

-"Are you ok? You lost too much blood." the girl said looking in my black eyes with her (e/c) ones.

-"I feel a little dizzy. That's all." I said looking at her confused.
-"Are you scared?"

-"No. You will be scared."she said as she went a little up making me see all her face.

-"Don't be so sure." I mumbled.

-"Are you a vampire?" she asked me suddenly with a curious look.

-"What if I am?" I asked her suspicious.

-"I can bring you blood." she said smiling softly.

-"How?"

-"By killing, silly." she said with a giggle.

-"Who exactly are you?" I asked her confused.

She stopped laughing and looked away thinking about it for a little. After that she sighed and got out the water sitting on a rock. That's when I saw it. She was a mermaid. A very beautiful mermaid. Her (f/c) tail was sinning as she moved it softly in the water. She was beautiful. Her body, her face. She was truly amazing.

-"A mermaid... Amazing." I said stunned.

-"You act like I am the first one you see." she said with a giggle.

-"I have seen many, but none of them were as beautiful as you." I said softly.

-"Thank you." she said blushing softly.
-"I will go bring you some blood now. Ok?"

-"As you wish. But first, what's your name?"

-"(Y/n). Yours?" she asked me smiling.

-"Shino."

-"Well Shino I will be back in a little." she said and jumped in the water getting lost in it.

I looked at the water still amazed from what I saw. I think I will have a great time with such a beautiful girl around me taking care of me.

I look forward to it.
