(Y/n)' POV

High school was always a problem. That place came straight out of hell making it the basic reason to never want to be born. It was once of the most hated places a person could go through his life. Yet, here I was enduring it as everyone else did.

I was always told that the memories that I will make here, are going to be my best ones. I was always reminded the fact that I should cherry every moment and live every day to the fullest, but how could I do that when all I face are tests, exams and studying. If this place is leaving me something to remember is a trauma.

-"Tomorrow it's Valentines Day!" Sakura express excited.

And that's exactly the worst part of high school. A day that is suppose to bring happiness to all the couples and make the single ones confess their love to their crushes. Such a stupid day, yet it's the most famous one.

-"I think all of us know that." Ten Ten said as she continued eating her lunch.

-"Not all of us." Ino said as she looked at me making everyone to do the same.

-"Don't start again." I said not in the mood for a fight.

-"You need to confess to him (Y/n)." Sakura told me.

-"Girls don't start. You know that this will never happen." I told them as I took out my headphones.

-"He most like is into you too." Ino told me smirking.

-"You should try." Hinata mumbled shyly.

-"Try? Are you crazy? Maybe you forget about his ex, Temari, and how beautiful she was. She was always wearing pretty girly clothes and acted like it. It's clear that he likes girls like her and I am nothing like it." I told them in an angry and sad tone at the same time.

-"Maybe he was experimenting to see if he liked her." Ten Ten said in a hopeful voice.

-"I don't think so and I am not going to risk it. I am good as I am now." I answered not being bothering to hear more.

I put my headphones on not leaving them space for more talking. Loud music was playing in my ears as I slowly enjoyed my lunch in peace.

I have a crush on Shikamaru for a very long time now, but I haven't told him anything. I mean, how is he going to love me? How is he going to look romantically a girl like me? All the time I wear baggy pants along with oversized hoodies, sport shoes along with a banana bag. There is nothing beautiful or even pretty on me. So I know that I have zero chances  winning his heart or even his interest. I won't do anything and I will let myself have a good friendship with him as we always had.

Valentines day came fast and as every year girls and boys were on the clouds with their loved ones. Many had already confessed their love as the rest waited patiently for lunch time, since it was a more relaxed moment for everyone. However, a majority of them were already in a relationship and no one wanted to hide it since couples were all over the place kissing and hugging each other. Disgusting.

-"(Y/n)!" I heard Sakura's voice yelling making me look at her.
-"Let's eat at the roof today."

-"We never eat at the roof." I told her confused at the sudden change.
