(Y/n)'s POV

I love animals.

Every kind of animal is sweet. Including wild animals too. They are so adorable and lovable. I would love having one.

That's why I am going to the pet shop.

As much as I love all animals, I can't have a bear or a lion in my apartment. First it's dangerous for my things. Second it will create a fuss if the neighbors learn about it. And third it's hard to hide it when I will have guests. So a small pet is a better choice.

-"Good morning!" I said smiling entering the pet shop.

-"Good morning miss. Can I help you?" a girl with blue hair asked me.

-"Yes. I would like to see any kind of pets you have." I said still smiling at her.

She nodded and told me to follow her. We went at the back room where all pets are kept. When the door opened the first thing I heard was happy barks by small puppies. If this continues I will take every single pet with me.

I started looking around. Some really cute puppies were looking at me begging me to adopt them. Some kitties were trying to reach for my hand when I waved at them. And some birds were singing loudly at my presence.

Although my eyes didn't remain on them. They went on an orange cat. Its color was just amazing. Especially its eyes. It was the first time I had seen an orange cat with orange eyes. I fell in love with it from the moment I laid my eyes on it. The cat saw me staring and walked near me. She sat really close to the railings and stared in my eyes leaving a small, but happy, mew. So adorable.

-"I want that one!" I said smiling to the girl pointing at the orange cat.

-"You chose a really nice cat." she said smiling as she came to unlock its cage.

She took the cat out and gave it to me. I immediately hugged the cat carefully close to me and it started purring loudly. It seems it likes me.

-"This cat has already a name. His name is Yahiko." the girl from the store.

So cute! The name suits him amazing.

-"Let's take some things for you Yahiko and go home!" I said smiling at the cat.

He purred more at that as he rubbed his little head on the crock of my neck. So adorable!

It's been almost a month that I have been living with Yahiko. He is a really sweet cat. Always fighting for my attention and affection. Playing around with his toys, but never taking his eyes off me for too long. The sweetest part he does is when I am taking a bath he sits on a chair near me waiting for me to finish. He is like a guard. Sweet.

I had just finished eating. Yahiko had finished long ago his fish and was waiting for me on the couch. I giggled at that and walked near him laying on the couch with him on my belly.

-"Such a sweet and caring pet. The best cat I could have asked for!" I said smiling as I petted his fur.

He purred at that and started rubbing his head on my belly. Sometimes I thought that he could understand me and that's why he was like that, but that wasn't possible since he is an animal. However that thought is still in my mind.

Before a week I broke up with my boyfriend. I was really sad and cried about it almost all night, being able to sleep only 2-3 hours. Yet, I don't know how, but Yahiko came to me that night. He laid close to me and wouldn't stop mewing until I had fallen asleep. I think he was trying to comfort me, but I couldn't understand him because he is a cat.

In moments like that I wish he was a human. Sometimes I think he is the only one who can understand me. Not even my friends had showed me so much affection and cared like he does.

Suddenly a small paw went on my nose making me look at my cat. It seems I had gotten lost in my thoughts making me ignore him.

-"Sorry Yahiko. I got lost in my thoughts." I said smiling softly as I took his paw off my nose.

He let a small mew at that, but I felt like it he was asking me why.

-"I was thinking about you." I said smiling.
-"I thought that it would be awesome if you were human. You understand me better than anyone and you are here when I need comfort. Not even my ex understood me so well."

I sighed after that as Yahiko stared at me thoughtful. He sighed and got up coming closer to my face. Wait! Did he just sigh? His cat face was near my face. He stared in my eyes before leaning and touching his mouth on mine like a kiss. When that happened suddenly the placed filled with smoke. I don't know how, but I coughed a little because of it.

-"Are you ok?" a deep voice asked me from really close.

I widen my eyes as I stared at the person in front of me. The smoke had cleared, my cat was no where to be found and a man was sitting on top of me. He had orange hair and eyes, a well build body and a look that made you melt.

He was hot.

-"What happened?" I asked confused trying not to blush.

-"I am Yahiko, your cat." he said smiling softly.

That smile made him look hotter.

-"My cat was an animal. Not a human." I said still confused.

-"Your cat was a human that turned into a car. I drunk something I wasn't supposed to and turned into a cat. And the only way to turn back was to be kissed by someone that loved me." he answered still smiling.

-"Are you expecting me to believe you?" I asked him getting uncomfortable under him.

-"You can ask Konan if you want. The girl from the shop." he said smiling.

That girl... Now it makes sense! That's why he had a name when I took him. That's why he was eating only human food. That's why he could understand me.

-"I see." I mumbled blushing a little.
-"She could have warn me at least not to take a bath in front of you."

-"Why not? You have an amazing body." he said having a small smirk.

I blushed more at that and hide my eyes behind hands. That's so embarrassing. I will never take a pet again. I will just watch them from away.

Suddenly a pair of lips came on mine. I widen my eyes at that as I looked at Yahiko surprised. I wasn't expecting that. Not that I was expecting him to be a human.

-"You know, if you let me stay here I promise to love you better than your ex. I will be better at everything, because I understand you. You said it yourself after all." Yahiko told me with a soft smile as he stared in my eyes.

-"Can I trust you?" I asked him curious.

-"You did it all this time. So yes."

-"Ok then." I said smiling softly.
-"You can stay."

He smiled happily at that as he hugged me tightly. He moved a little to the side and that made us fall off the couch. I stared at him and then started laughing.

He is my sweet cat for sure.
