Chapter 1.3

"Honami-chan? Really, are you alright?"

"Yeah, I was worried too!"

"Don't worry, everything's all well..."

The two students, Amikura Mako and Sõ Shibata were concerned about the wellbeing  of Ichinose. No...it seemed like the entire class was concerned.

"You've been out late yesterday and have been acting all weird since the morning. Phew, I'm glad Ayanokouji-kun found you before 9PM."

"Y-yeah..."

"So, what did Ayanokouji say when you were up there? Did he just say anything or...?"

"...!?"

While Amikura was recalling the events of Ayanokouji calling her, it seems as if Shibata was curious of what happened between Ayanokouji and Ichinose.

"No no... we were just... We were talking about our experiences in Hokkaido."

"I can see through that lie of yours, Honami-chan!"

"I-I see..."

Ichinose looked down to her feet.

While she was embarrassed by the sit between Ayanokouji and herself, she still wondered.

"Should I...continue like this?" She whispered.

After all, Ayanokouji did promise her to meet again at the end of the school year. And that meeting is coming close.

Ichinose, who was evaluating her leadership, came to a conclusion.

She was going to...

"I'll trust Ayanokouji-kun's words on this..."

"Hm? What was that,  Honami-chan?" Amikura asked?

"L-let's go get the cups for the coffee."

"Coffee? At this hour?"

While they were as a resting place to eat, drink and use the restroom, it was dark outside. It was essentially nighttime, there was no point in coffee.

"Sorry! I mean some drinks..."

"Don't worry, me and Amikura will go get some."

"Yeah! Be right back!"

As both of them practically fled to get the drinks, Ichinose was relieved to get some alone time.

"Haa... Some pea-"

"Ichinose."

Just as she was getting some alone time, someone has apparently called her name.

"Ah...we haven't talked for some time, haven't we?"

It was true, both were doing their own separate things. Although they interacted with each other, albeit short and awkward.

"I need to talk to you about something. I got cut off last time, or so I didn't have enough time to tell you this. It's rather urgent."

The boy, who was standing in front of Ichinose, took a chunk of his ice-cream. It was rather funny to see this boy out of all people eating the dessert.

"I believe we should go-"

"Ichinose-san! The drinks are here! So get yourself over here! Look at that Shibata, that rhymed~"

"You used the same word..."

"Thanks for the conclusion, detective!"

Ichinose turned away from the person and looked across to spot Amikura, Shibata and some other of her classmates at a table. It seems like one more seat was still open.

Amikura's voice, which was a bit drown by all the first-years' chatter, was indeed heard by the both of them. Because of that, Ichinose couldn't help but apologize in her head to the boy.

"Ah! Be right there, Amikura-san!"

After that, Ichinose turns around to the boy once again.

"Sorry, Kanzaki-kun. I have to attend somewhere. We'll talk again back in school!"

Before Kanzaki could respond, Ichinose ran towards the table before sitting down on her seat.

"How troublesome, at this point it doesn't matter. She won't even understand what I'll say anyways."

Feeling irritated, Kanzaki went to the bus, feeling no need to stay inside the restaurant. Although before he boarded the bus, he quickly texted someone about how it went.

[Not surprised. She's way too popular and naive. Honestly makes my head boil more than it has to every day in school.]

[Why couldn't you do it?]

[Would she listen to me or you? No, scratch that, she wouldnt even hear our advice. We're idiotic for thinking that.]

[I guess you have a point. We'll officially start when we get back to school.]

[Whatever suits you best. I'm going back to sleep.]

Kanzaki, also feeling tired, figured it was best to go to sleep. That is..

"No, it'll be best to start thinking of who to approach. I can sleep later."

Kanzaki, who's now in his seat, opened his OAA app and searched his class thoroughly.
