IT WAS THE 5th day, my class, Class B, has already boarded  bus. The subzero breeze tingles my face as I sat down in the back. I looked towards the window which was slightly opened as we slowly began moving and following the other bus in front of us.

The bus in front of us was Class A. Behind us followed Class C and then D. It was in a alphabetical order. If I may say, the vacation in Hokkaido was-

"Kiyotaka! Are you listening to me?!?"

"Oh...my bad Kei. I was thinking of something."

Kei was pouting at the fact I wasn't listening. Even then, I don't remember much of her ramblings.

"Hmph! So, as I was saying! The part where we had to do photos of our group in landmarks was great! Look look! I even have them here on my phone!"

"That's nice."

"Eh? Is that all you have to say?!"

"I guess so."

"You never change huh?"

Never change? I have some changes to say the least.
Well, I think I do..

"Ahem! So! What do you think we're going to do once we get back to school?"

Kei changes the topic to the mystery of what we'll be doing back in school.

"I don't know, I'm guessing classes will resume as normal."

Kei leans her head on my shoulder and hugs my left arm. I guess she both wants to cuddle and she's feeling cold, regardless of her coat and gloves.

"Is that all? I know that mind of yours, Kiyotaka. You have more to say, dont you?"

Scary, not only does she know my mindset, but her intuition is horrifically accurate.

What's the deal with women having good intuition?

As I ponder that question, I was unaware that Kei was poking my face.

"Come on~ Talk already!"

I sigh internally as I begin to talk.

"I have a feeling we'll have a special exam underway."

As soon as I said that, Kei sat up straight and look at me in the eyes. With a frown she said.

"Something less realistic?"

"That's as minimalistic as I can get."

"Aw! Come on!"

Kei slumps on her seat, feeling dejected of the news.

"Don't worry, it's not confirmed. After all, it's what I think." I try reassuring her but she frowns even more. At this point, I don't think she can smile anymore.

"Sure but, aren't your predictions always unsurprisingly accurate?"

"I wouldn't say it's always accurate."

"Fine, how about a bet?"

Another one?

"If your prediction is correct, you take me on a date and I pay!" Kei claims.

"And if it's not correct?"

"Well...uh. Let's see.. oh! I take you on a date and you pay!"

"So either way, no matter who wins or loses, we'll be going on a date regardless?"

"Yup!" Kei sticks her tongue out and starts mocking me. Or was it teasing?

"I see, why a date then?"

"Because you haven't spent time with me during the vacation? isn't that a bit obvious!"

I had a hunch that this was Kei's real motive. Seems like I was correct.

"I see, I'll take this bet of yours then."

"May be best one wins! In this case, the both of us!"

Kei smiles warmly at me and begins to fiddle with her phone. I guess she's making plans for the date.
