"I'M SURE WE all know this, but a special exam will be taken place tomorrow  at 9PM."

Currently, the entire class, including myself, were intensively hearing what Horikita had to say. It was right after school ended for the day.

"Since the first half of the exam is entirely individual, I say you may do whatever you want."

"Eh!?!"

The class was expectedly surprised by this, even I was.

"Of course, don't take my words too literally. While you guys may do whatever you may like to be, it's best to decide an outcome for the class."

"I agree with Horikita-san. It seems as if this exam can't allow us to actually form a strategy. It seems as if we'll have to abide to the rules here."

Yousuke spoke his thoughts of of the exams, stating how a strategy can't be made.

However, he was mostly wrong.

"Personally, I disagree with the statement of no strategy, Hirata-kun. To start, I want to talk about the 4 students in this classroom that will be appointed as the werewolves."

Horikita took out her phone to presumably search for the outcomes.

"I believe outcome 1 should be achieved."

"Outcome...1? Aren't we suppose to catch and 'kill' the werewolves, including the ones from our class?"

Even Keise- no, Yukimura himself was confused.

"I'm sure you all are confused, so let me explain for more clarity."

I see Horikita scrolling down a little on her phone

"Outcome 1 is when the werewolves win. If 3 of our 4 werewolves gain top 3, 3 of our classmates will be getting a total amount of 3.5 million private points, that is if we don't include the bonuses. And even then, the 4th classmate will be getting 50k private points. Not only that, but it is 300k private points for werewolves who sure alive. That will be 4.4 million private points for our 4 werewolves."

"So, I will be asking our 4 soon to be werewolves, to eliminate as much humans as possible. Just, do not eliminate our classmates. Once we got atleast 4 million private points, we'll split it between the class. In this case, everyone gets atleast 100k private points. That is our strategy for the first half of this exam."

So rather the werewolves only getting the reward on Class B, everyone is. That was Horikita's strategy. Not a bad one if I may say so.

And so with that, Horikita ended.

Well, or so I thought.

A certain somebody got up and was about to leave through the door, until Horikira called him.

"Koenji-kun."

Koenji, who was holding a cold, plastic water bottle, turned around to Horikita.

"What is it that you need, Horikita-girl?"

"You stayed in the meeting all the way towards the end. In that timeframe you could've left. You're planning on participating, are you?"

Koenji snorts and he begins combing his hair, does he even get tired of doing that?

"Of course I am, Horikita-girl! Why wouldn't I be? Even the idiotic of all can figure that out!"

"For...the private points, am I correct?"

"There you have it! Indeed indeed!"

Koenji said this as he brings out his mirror, checking his face.

"But als-"

"I will also be participating in the second half of the exam, so there's not to worry! I will get expelled if I refuse to, no? That will be the end of my grand school life."

"But even then, you'll still be the heir of the Koenji conglomerate."

"Indeed that's true, Horikita-girl. But do I wish to discard my ever so good life in this school? Of course not!"

Horikita slightly burrows her eyebrows but still kept her composure.

"That's not what I was originally going to ask."

Koenji swayed his mirror to the side to get a good look at Horikita, curious of what she was saying.

"Hmmm?"

"In the event that you're not chosen as the werewolf, you will try to win as a human to get private points, correct?"

"Correct, Horikita-girl!"

"And if you are a werewolf, you will also logically try to win. It's possible that you will not listen to me. You will go and try to eliminate our classmates, right?"

"Mhm."

"So, if-"

"Oh brother! You're beginning to waste my time with nonsense, Horikita-girl!"

Koenji brings his mirror in front of his face while he begins combing his hair once again.

"While that is true, if I'm a werewolf, I'll simply listen to the instructions you said. As long as I get private points, even if its 100k, it's an addition to my treasury."

"And as a human?"

"I'll still be getting 100k private points!"

"Unsurprising. But thank you for participating either way."

More like the exam forced him to participate.

"It just happened to catch my interest! You're much welcome, Horikita-girl!"

With that, he left the classroom.

"Should we be glad he's participating or unsurprised he's participating for his self-gain?"

Ken was the one who voiced the question, followed by other murmers throughout the classroom.

"At least Koenji-kun is participating... No matter. Since we've gone over the strategy, it s best to memorize it in your head."

"...Why not send us in group chat? Isn't that more effective? I mean
...even I have a bad memory, hehe..." Asked Mori.

"While that is certainly a better idea, I don't want any information spilling out. As such, I planned to tell Hirata-kun, Matsushita-san, and Ayanokouji-kun to tell you the strategy since they seem to have good memory. But I suppose your idea also works. Thank you, Mori-san."

"U-uh! You're welcome, Horikita-san!"

"With that out of the way, you may all be dismissed. Have a nice evening."

And after all that, students begin to leave one by one.

"Hirata-kun, may you stay here? I'll talk to you about the contents of the exam. Kushida-san too." Asked Horikita.

"It's fine, Horikita-san." Yousuke responded.

"Yeah, alright." Kikyo affirmed

"Thank you."

I thought that was the end of of it, and since I was close to the door, I stood up.

"Ayanokouji-kun, may I talk to you outside?"

I didn't even move an inch...

"Let me get my umbrella in the back. I'll meet up outside."

Since it was raining outside, I didn't want to get wet. So I grabbed my umbrella and Horikita's too. I have Horikita umbrella to her.

"Thank you."

"No problem."

After we stepped out of the classroom, I heard Yousuke and Kikyo talking.

"Seems like we're going to be staying here for a little while, Kushida-san."

"Looks like it."

That was the last thing I heard before the sound of footsteps and the rain tapping was on the windows were the only thing audible to me and Horikita.

I wonder what this is about.
