Chapter 2: Relaxation's over.

WE WERE FINALLY back at the school. Unfortunately, we were only a bit late due to traffic, but in the end, all worked out fine.

I was currently sitting in my seat, I was close to the door so it wasn't a problem. I was drinking mineral water as I felt dehydrated. After all, dehydrated makes your brain much less operative. Instead of that, I was more focused on something else.

To say the least, the purpose of the vacation, regardless of the location or to have fun was to know your enemies. Once you know how they will operate and their strategies, it will become easier to defeat them later on.

It will also prove useful to know the classmates strengths and weaknesses to make use of that in class battles.

Unfortunately, it seems as if most students in our year seem to either forget that or never looked at the bigger picture.

I'm sure Ryueen will use this against Sakayangi. But one uncertain thing is his 800 million points strategy.

The success rate Is quite low for now, but it isn't impossible if I have to say so myself. It all depends on the situation he's in.

I'm sure the first battle between Ryueen and Sakayanagi will start once a special exam is announced. But I wonder, who will win? Although both are splendid leaders in their own way, I have a feeling of who'll win, which is-

"Woah! Sudou!? Is that really you!?"

As my thoughts were once again interrupted, by Ike's tone of voice, he seems to be surprised regarding Sudou.

"Yeah! Why's he like that?"

"Has my brother finally become a man?"

I wasn't so sure as to what was happening. After all, my head was down and my arms were covering my vision. Although I wonder, what happen to Sudou thar made my classmates act like this?

"Oi, Ayanokouji! How do I look?"

As if being an esper, Sudou called out to me, asking for my opinion.

I lifted my head up, only to find a tidy up Sudou with his uniform.

Instead of the way he dressed back then, his school jacket was buttoned up, on top of that, he wore his tie for the first time. Atleast I think so. Maybe he tried it on before the first day of school and didn't like it?

"You look nice, Sudou. Though I may ask, why?"

I myself have no idea as to why Sudou would do this.

Sudou, looking around the class, closed in and whispered to me

"It's not to impress Suzune or anything. I just thought I should dress better. Y'know, for my mission to be better and surpass Hirata, stuff like that. After all, I like this new look at me, I dont look too much of some delinquent now, unlike Housen."

I see, as a first step to become a better person, he chose to tidy up and look nice. Now that I think of it, he certainly does look less scary. But honestly, he should start by mentally becoming competent. Although socially transforming to become better is a good start as well.

And on a unrelated note, if seems like he still holds a grudge towards Housen. Not that I blame him, even I, to some extent, hold a grudge to him.

"It's a good start, Sudou."

"That's nice to know but um... two things"

As Sudou backs away from my desk, he scratches his head and tilts his head to the side.

"We've been friends for long time so...shouldn't we call each other by our first names?"

While I did know what he was going to say for one of the things, I've haven't expected this. Such out of the norm as well.
