Chapter 2 - The First Day

It had been a few hours and you had finally finished unpacking your bags and it wouldn't have  taken so long if you didn't keep on stopping to check your phone because you were hoping you would get a message from your mum or someone checking up on you but it never came, you decided to go out for your first cigarette at your new school even though it was against the stupid rules you didn't really care as you lit the cigarette someone knocked on the door so you put it out and left it hidden on the balcony and answered the door it was a girl with colourful hair and what seemed to be a very bubbly personality followed by a girl wearing all black and looking very depressed "hi I'm Enid and this is Wednesday" she said pointing to the person behind her "hi I'm y/n not to be rude but what are you doing here?" You asked "oh I guess principal Weems didn't tell you, im here to give you a tour of the school!" She said excitedly "oh ok yeah she didn't tell me but I guess thats ok can you come back in 5 I was just doing something?" You said hoping that you could smoke the cigarette before the tour "yeah that's fine I'll be back in exactly 5 minutes see you again soon!" Enid said happily Wednesday never spoke but by the look of her that wasn't strange. You shut the door and locked it walking back and lighting the cigarette trying to smoke quickly so you wouldn't be smoking when Enid came back. You finished your cigarette just in time as Enid knocked on the door whilst you were shutting the window "hi again are you ready now?" Enid asked "yeah let me just get my shoes on" you said whilst putting your shoes on. Enid spoke throughout the whole tour Wednesday just seemed to follow, "and finally this is mine and Wednesdays room so if you need us this is where we will be!" Enid said as she finished the tour "thank you Enid that was very informative I hope to see you around, bye Wednesday" you left both of them going back up to your room and started to get all your stuff ready for your first lesson.

Your first lesson was botanical science - not that you knew what that was but went anyway - you walked into a beautiful greenhouse classroom with plants everywhere, a lot of the students were already sat down so you walked in smiling at the teacher and sitting at the very back on your own desk - you were never good at socialising especially not with new people so you decided to keep your distance and put one headphone in so you could still hear the teacher. " hi I'm miss thornhill and I will be you teacher this year, some of you I know from last year others I don't so I hope I get to know you all." The class seemed to go really slowly as you had no clue what was happening and it was just boring so you ended up just sitting on your phone and all of a sudden the bell rang snapping you back into reality. "Miss l/n can you please stay for a minute" your teacher asked "sure am I in trouble?" You questioned "not massively I just saw that you were on your phone and that's not allowed but I'll leave it as your new just for next time please don't be on your phone, it was lovely meeting you!" She shouted as you walked out not saying anything about the phone situation as you didn't really care but you knew if the principal found out you would probably be told off.

You walked back up to your room not paying attention to anything around you walking quickly when you bumped into someone causing you to drop your phone "look where your going idiot!" The person shouted at you "who are you calling an idiot" you said looking at a boy not that much taller then you in front of you "who do you think?" He said in a rude voice before you could respond Enid came running over saying to the boy "leave her alone Ajax it's her first day!" You didn't need anyone to fight your battles so you were annoyed at Enid for saying anything "oh sorry my bad I didn't know you were new" Ajax said looking at you "yeah well next time don't call me an idiot because Enid might not be here to stop me from hitting you" you responded picking up your phone and walking away "she's a character nearly as bad as Wednesday" the boy laughed "yeah I haven't figured her out yet but I will though" Enid responded. walking away Enid apologised for your actions but you didn't hear her as you were already back in your room. You only had one more lesson and that was English - finally a normal lesson you thought grabbing your pencil case and leaving your room - English was your favourite subject so it wasn't that bad the lesson seemed to go really quick and you were finally done for the day.

You decided to skip dinner as you couldn't deal with that many people in a room together and you weren't hungry anyway, you decided to go for another cigarette to calm you down from everything that had happened and after watching your movie you decided you were just going to go to sleep as you had archery first thing the next day.
