Chapter 53 - what to do (TW)

AN - once again guys I'm sorry this has taken so long I'm in a rough patch and I'm struggling to write but I'm really trying, i hope this isn't too bad. And I'm sorry its so long, I'm just trying to introduce Parker into the family.

You woke up the next morning to both yours and weems alarm going off and you turned them both off and got up having a quick shower and getting ready for the day just slipping on some jeans and a smart shirt, you woke up weems and she got ready into a green dress and you both decided to skip breakfast and go straight to your rooms so you kissed weems goodbye and slowly made your way to your class where you set up your first year lesson and by the time that was done you still had 10 minutes so you started to message Lizzie even though you knew she definitely wouldn't be up yet unless ben woke her up 'hey liz i just wanted to say thank you for yesterday and if your still up for it we can go out once I'm finished with work and i can bring Parker cause she needs new shoes and really enjoyed yesterday' you explained then put your phone down and put some music on quietly and waited for all your students to come in. 5 minutes later most of your students started to pile in so you waited until the bell was supposed to ring and as it did you looked around to see Parker wasn't in the room but you shook your head to yourself convincing yourself she had just overslept and you started to teach the lesson you had planned "ok so because you all did so well in the last lesson we'll go through and annotate these by yourself this time" you explained standing at the front of the class and started writing on the board whilst explaining what the task was and then handed out some different poems "you guys have 20 minutes to do as much as you can" you explained sitting down and smiling, all your students nodded and then started writing. You were doing some of your own marking when the door opened and Parker walked in and she just sat straight down keeping her head down and looking at the poem in front of her and she must've figured out the task because she just picked up a pen and started to annotate the poem, you wanted to go talk to her but thought it was best not to and as soon as the 20 minutes was up you stood back up and cleared your throat "ok so now you've all done that I'm sure you get the ideas of what a poem is so I want you to write a poem of your own. It can be about whatever you want and as long or short as you want, this will be the last task of the lesson so you have 20 minutes to do it." You turned around and smiled at everyone and they all started to write their poems, you sat at your desk and started to mark some more of your other classes work. You looked up from your work to see parker wasn't writing so you took a slow walk towards her stopping at a few other tables to look at other people's poems and when you made it to her desk she looked up at you "hey Parker do you mind if I take a seat?" You asked pointing at the empty chair next to her, she didn't respond but nodded and you sat down you didn't say anything at first and just looked at her until you noticed a red mark on her arm and you immediately knew what it was, you tried not to show any worry and just let out a small smile "hey Parker do you mind staying after class? I promise your not in trouble I just want to talk to you about something quickly" you said softly and she looked at you "I guess" she let out in a small voice not much louder then a whisper and you stood up "thank you Parker" you said making your way back to your desk, you stayed at your desk the rest of the lesson and you just tried to convince yourself its ok and before you knew it the bell was ringing so you snapped yourself out of your head and stood up "ok that's the end of the lesson you all did really well today and ill see you in a few days, please leave your poems on my desk on your way out" you said as everyone stood up and started to pile out the door leaving their poems on your desk and shortly after everyone was gone except Parker who just waited at her desk.  You made your way to Parker and pulled a chair from the desk i front and sat opposite her "what did you need to speak about y/n" she said looking at you "we'll i just wanted to make sure you were ok, you were late which isn't like you and you finished your poem quickly" you said not wanting to push her "yeah I'm ok I just did a short poem and all i did was oversleep" she said fiddling with her jumper you looked at her poem and saw a small poem with the title unfair and some tear marks on the paper and you looked at her "im going to ask you something and I want you to be honest ok?" You said tilting your head slightly and Parker looked at you a bit worried you moved your hand onto the desk and lifted your sleeve slightly to reveal your tattoo "do you know what this represents?" You said showing her your tattoo and she shook her head "it means I fought a battle and I won it and I think you might be fighting the same thing so I'm gonna ask that you lift up your sleeve at the same time as me ok?" You said moving your arm off the table and she looked at you a bit worried "I promise that I won't tell anyone" you said to reassure her and she nodded you both lifted your arm up and you counted to three and on three you both lifted your sleeves to show your scars, hers were fresh but you didn't want to freak her out "how long have you been doing this sweetheart" you said pulling your sleeve back down and a tear left her eye "2 years" she let out and you were trying so hard not to cry "do your parents know?" You asked moving your hand onto hers and she burst out in tears "my parents aren't here anymore miss" you moved around the table and hugged her as tightly as you could "im so sorry sweetheart I didn't know" you said trying as hard as you could not to cry whilst holder her in your arms. After a few minutes she calmed down and you slowly let her go "im not going to ask you not to do this anymore because I know how hard it is to stop but I want you to promise me that if you do it again you'll come to me and I can help you clean them ok?" You asked whilst she looked up at you and she nodded slowly "pinky promise?" You said holding out you pinky and she did the same "I pinky promise miss" you smiled "can I help you bandage them up" you asked standing up making your way to the first aid kit in your room and she nodded so you started to get everything you needed out "if it hurts tell me ok" you said taking out a wipe and slowly started to clean her arm up "you can come to me whenever Parker and maybe we can watch a movie again or i could call Lizzie and see if she could come down more" you said trying to distract her a bit "ok thank you y/n" she said with a little laugh and you started to wrap her arm in a bandage "do you mind if I tell principal weems about this? If you say no I won't but I would like her to know" you said finishing up with her arm and pulling her sleeve back down  "I guess you could, will it get me in trouble?" She asked and you shook your head "I promise you won't be in any trouble weems helped me a lot when I was fighting my battle" and she smiled at you "thank you y/n for helping me"  she said with a shaky voice "You don't have to say thank you. I will always be here no matter what time ok, come to me any time any day and if you're still up for it later we can go get those shoes" you said standing back up and she smiled and nodded "now do you want me to walk you to your next lesson so I can explain why your late?" You said holding out your hand for her to hold "that would be nice" she said grabbing her bag and holding your hand "I have botanical science with miss thornhill" she said as you left your room "ok let's go then" you said making your way to marylins class. When you reached thornhill class you knocked on the door and walked in "hi miss can I talk to you outside quickly?" You said letting go of Parker's hand  "of course miss" she said walking towards the door and you bent down to Parker "I'll see you later ok, if you need me come find me" you said hugging her quickly and she walked in to find her seat, you then shut the door to talk to thornhill "what's up y/n?" She asked "I just wanted to let you know that parker was with me and that's why she is late" you explained
"Oh ok that's fine then is she ok?"
"Yeah she's fine but if she seems off could you text or email me and I'll come talk to her?" You asked and thornhill happily agreed "thank you marylin, I'll let you get back to your lesson. I'll see you later" you said and you both parted ways. You made your way to your class to grab all the poems and a few other things that you needed to mark and made your way back to your room as you didn't have anymore lessons for the rest of the day. You walked through weems' office and saw her sat at her desk on her laptop "hey Rissa" you said walking over and kissing her forehead "hey darling, how's your day been?" She asked moving her laptop out of the way so she could talk to you "it's been good" you said hesitantly and weems just looked at you "what happened?" She asked whilst you sat down heavily in the chair opposite her "it's one of my first year students Parker" you said taking a heavy breath before continuing "she self harms and we had a conversation about it but I just feel so bad for her she's only 11 Rissa" you said with a shaky voice and weems walked over to you and hugged you "it's ok darling what did you tell her?" She asked still holding you "well I said that she can come to see me whenever no matter what and that she wasn't in any trouble" you said with a few tears rolling down your face "we'll that's a good thing dear, you made sure she was alright and that's all you can do" she said wiping your tears away and you smiled at her "I just hope she trusts me enough to come to me"  you said chocking up "I'm sure she will darling" weems said and you both kissed before she made her way back around the desk "I have some work to do but I can do it in the room if you like?" She asked getting ready to move all of her things but you shook your head "no it's fine I have some marking aswell so we can just sit in here" you said putting all of the books on the table "sounds good dear" weems said and you both started to work.
