Chapter 52 - Family

A week later and your first week was over and you were just finishing up your last bit of marking for the week and you were happy with how well the week had gone and as soon as you finished marking you locked your classroom door for the weekend and went up to your room very quickly and you kissed weems on the cheek at her desk before going into your room and grabbing the car keys "Rissa I'm going to meet Lizzie and violet do you want to come?" You said not staying still "of course i do darling" she immediately shut her laptop not caring about the email she was half way through and grabbed her coat along with another one for you and you practically dragged her to the car ignoring all the students trying to stop you and you jumped into the car after opening the door for weems, you drove into Jericho and waited at the weathervane like you and Lizzie agreed on the phone but you got there 20 minutes early because you didn't want to be late so you and weems sat down and ordered a drink whilst waiting, after 10 minutes of you looking at the door every time someone came in you finally saw faces you recognised and jumped out your seat running to the door and hugging Lizzie and violet at the same time "damn y/n let us breathe" Lizzie said and you chuckled before letting them go "sorry little one just missed you" you said with a smile and Lizzie pulled you into a tight hug "i missed you too y/n" Lizzie said kissing your head and you kissed her cheek before leading them to the table. Lizzie and violet both said hi to weems and you sat next to her whilst they sat opposite you and Lizzie looked into the pram "look who's awake" she said taking ben out of the pram and your heart immediately melted and you feared up so weems put her hand on top of yours and Lizzie looked at you "why the tears?" She said holding ben and you shook your head "this is just so real" you explained and Lizzie moved to sit next to you and slowly handed you ben and you held him carefully looking down at him trying not to cry "Lizzie... he's beautiful" you said choking on your own words and Lizzie nodded "he definitely is" she said with a smile and you heard violet clear her throat and you looked at her confused "what is it little one?" You asked and she smiled "its that nickname y/n, I'm taller then you now you can't call me that" and you and Lizzie both laughed "that's not how it works chicken, they are your nicknames and they're not going anywhere" you said rocking ben in your arms and violet shook her head and pouted "that's not fair" she said crossing her arms and weems looked at her "i will tell you a few nicknames i use for your sister later" weems said winking at violet and she immediately nodded and you looked at weems a bit scared of what she would say, you spent a good hour just talking and you held ben the whole time until Lizzie started to get tired and leaned on violet's shoulder "how about we get you three checked into the hotel and you can have a nap lizzie and just relax for the evening then we can do more things tomorrow" you suggested and Lizzie agreed so you put ben back into the pram and pushed him out the shop as weems payed for the drinks; you checked them into the hotel and said that you'd be back in the morning and you kissed them goodnight before you and weems headed back to nevermore and the whole journey back you couldn't stop smiling and weems sat driving with one of her hands rested on your leg and you just laid there watching her as she drove back and when you arrived you both went straight up to your room and laid in bed because you were tired after working all day and then seeing your sisters and the adrenaline had finally worn off so you just wanted to sleep. You and weems had a quick shower and then got into bed cuddling up to each other as weems played with your hair and you hugged her tracing lines on her stomach as you both slowly drifted off to sleep.

When you woke up you checked the time and saw it was 5am and you groaned and got out of bed carefully trying not to wake up weems, you got changed into some joggers and an oversized hoodie and then packed some nice clothes into a bag and wrote a note for weems saying that you were going for a walk and that you would just go meet Lizzie and violet straight after, you wrote that it was 7am when you wrote the letter and hoped that she wouldn't wake up before then and quietly left making sure to lock the door behind you. You made your way through the corridors but before you could get outside you heard some noise coming from near the Poe statue so you walked over to it to see Parker sat on the floor next to it reading a book so you went over to her and sat on the floor next to her and cleared your throat so she knew you were there "mrs weems w-what are you doing up?" She asked looking at you confused "i could ask you the same thing Parker, it's the weekend and 5 in the morning. You should be asleep or at least still in your room" you said trying to understand why she was up "well i woke up and couldn't get back to sleep so thought id just come out here so I wouldn't wake up Sophie" she explained and you nodded with a small smile "what are you doing up miss?" She asked and you shrugged your shoulders "my sisters and new nephew are down for the weekend and i guess I'm a bit too excited so thought id take a slow walk into Jericho for some breakfast and then to go meet them later" you explained with only some of it being the truth and Parker smiled "you have a nephew?" She asked and you laughed slightly nodding "yeah his name is ben, i only met him yesterday" you said and Parker's smile grew "i bet he's really cute" she responded and you thought for a moment before speaking "as you're already up and changed how would you feel about coming into Jericho with me and then you can meet him, only if you want to though" you said looking at her and she nodded very quickly "i would love to miss!" She nearly shouted from excitement and you nodded standing up then offering her a hand to stand up which she took "i hope you're ok with walking because I haven't got my car keys" you explained with a slight laugh and Parker nodded "i love walking it helps clear my mind" she explained and you agreed before starting to walk. You and Parker started to very slowly walk to Jericho sitting down every once in a while and just talking and getting to know each other a little bit more "so Parker, i know its the weekend but i have to just let you know about the lessons from last week" you said and Parker looked at you a little worried "you are amazing at english like really good and i wanted to know if you want to do a one to one study session once a week, because I believe that you can do great things and i want to make sure you get that opportunity" you explained trying to see what her answer would be by the expression on her face and the massive smile that was on her face gave you an idea "that would be really cool y/n but are you sure? You don't have to waste your time on me" she said and you breathed in and shook your head "I wouldn't be wasting my time i promise you that, ill figure out a day for us and a time and make sure its ok with you before i set it up properly" you explained and Parker nodded "im free whenever especially if its to do with english" Parker said and a massive smile grew on your face and you carried on walking til you reached Jericho and by then it was 6:45 so you only had 15 minutes til the weathervane would open so you and Parker found a bench and just sat there waiting. As soon as the doors opened for the weathervane you and Parker stood up and made your way into one of the booths and you started to look through the menu and looked up at Parker "get whatever you want, ill make principal weems pay me back" you said winking at her and laughing and she laughed with you and started to look through the menu and when you were both ready you ordered some breakfast and a drink both of you ordering an iced coffee and when your drinks were brought over you took your phone out and decided to text Lizzie 'let me know when your up, im just sat in the weathervane getting some breakfast' you sent it and then continued to talk with Parker until your food got there and you looked over at Parker who seemed a bit wobbly and you smiled and voted next to her "one bite at a time right" you said cutting up your own food as she followed your actions and you both slowly started to eat until you had both pretty much finished and you hugged her "knew you could do it" you said with a smile and she hugged you back tightly "thank you y/n i needed this" you nodded and moved back to the other side of the table just in time for a text to come through from weems 'hey just got up I'm going to have a shower then ill come meet you, where about are you?' You responded quickly 'just sat in the weathervane waiting for Lizzie or violet to text me' you decided not to mention Parker yet and just let it be a kind of surprise and you both ordered another drink but you didn't let Parker get another coffee "im sorry kid but you can't have 2 coffees not yet you can have another one later" you explained and she huffed "yeah but you're having another one so why can't i?" She said and you shook your head in a joking way "im older and also I don't want you bouncing off the walls" you explained and she nodded "ok but I'm allowed another one later right?" You nodded and let her choose another drink which ended up being a smoothie and after you ordered that you told Parker you'd be back and went to quickly get changed in the toilets, you changed into a pair of jeans and a long sleeved T-shirt and put your other clothes into your bag and went back out to Parker but saw that weems was there as well but she was facing the opposite way so you snuck up behind her and covered her eyes which made Parker laugh "hello darling" seems said and you sat next to her "hello beautiful" you said kissing her cheek "why didn't you tell me Parker was here?" Weems asked and you looked at Parker and smiled "must've forgot" you said winking at Parker and she giggled, seems nudged your shoulder and shook her head you kissed her cheek then ordered her a coffee and you carried on talking for a little bit til you heard the door ring and you looked over to see Lizzie and ben coming in but no violet so you moved next to Parker and smiled and when Lizzie got to the table she seemed a bit confused "Lizzie this is Parker she is one of my students, Parker this is Lizzie my sister" you introduced them and then Lizzie got ben out the pram and haded him to you "nice to meet you Parker, violet decided to take a bit to long to get ready so we came without her but I'm sure she wont be more them 30 minutes" Lizzie explained and you nodded you held ben carefully and showed him to Parker "and this little guy is ben, he as cute as you thought he would be?" You asked with a smile and she nodded "he's even cuter" she whispered and you laughed and you all just sat there having a drink for a little bit whilst waiting for violet, who took just under 30 minutes and when she came in she just slumped into the chair not saying hi which made you all laugh a little before Parker spoke up "h-hi" she said and as it was a voice violet didnt recognise she sat up and looked at parker then at you "well if you would've been polite and said hi you would know this is one of my students, her names parker. Parker this is my little sister violet" Parker smiled at violet "sorry Parker I didn't know anyone else was here, like y/n said my names violet. It's nice to meet you" violet said and rolled her eyes at you and you smiled at her "ok so what do we want to do today?" Weems asked holding your hand "i dont mind as long as I'm with all of you" you smiled and Lizzie suggested the park, some shopping and then go out for food which everyone agreed to so you went and paid for the drinks and food and all set of to the park. You spent around an hour at the park before violet started to get very bored "this is dead, can we go shopping now?" You shook your head and laughed looking at Lizzie "how do you deal with this one" you said which earned a laugh from her "by monsters and her phone" you nodded in agreement and then looked at everyone "we going shopping then?" You asked and everyone nodded so you all made your way into the square and started to shop, everyone else went into a shop and you sat outside with Parker "how are you doing Parker? you dont have to stay i can get you an Uber back to school if you would like" you said and she shook her head "ok well if you want to buy anything you can ill pay for it, maybe a new shirt or something for your room" you suggested and Parker looked at you and hugged you "thank you for letting me join in today y/n it means a lot and you dont need to buy me anything, i need some shoes but i can wait til the money comes into my account" you looked at her a bit confused about who would be sending her money but just assumed it was her parents "of course i will include you and we can go look at some shoes, i like my shoes" you said showing her the Jordan's you have on and she smiled "so do i" she said and you nodded kissing the top of her head and standing up "lets go find the crazy people i call my family" you said which made Parker laugh and you went into the shop and everyone was looking at clothes so you went over to weems and kept an eye on Parker as she looked at a few thing but checked the price and put them back you held weems hand and led her to the corner "what's wrong darling?" She asked looking at you confused "would it be ok if i buy Parker a few things? She said she was waiting for money to be put into her account but she keeps on looking at things" you asked and weems nodded "of course you can darling" you kissed her on the cheek and thanked her walking back over to Parker "what you looking at?" You asked and Parker pointed at a hoodie and a long sleeved shirt "they are really nice but after i buy the shoes i want i wont be able to afford them for another month" she said putting her head down you walked over to the rack and got the size you thought she would wear and handed them to her "get what you want, its on me" you said with a smile and she shook her head "I can't take your money miss" you shook your head "its a present Parker. Please" she smiled and nodded "thank you y/n" she picked out another shirt along with some joggers and handed them to you "I'll give you some of the money back when i get my allowance" she added and you nodded knowing you wouldn't take the money and went over to pay, once everyone was done you went into a few more shops and then went for food. You all had a lovely meal and once it was done Lizzie and you split the check and everyone waited outside whilst you two paid "so y/n Parker, what's your deal with her?" Lizzie asked and you looked confused "shes spent the whole day with us and you never let anyone do that" you nodded "shes one of my students and shes really talented but i think she has a story she doesnt want anyone to know about" you said and Lizzie nodded "oh by the way were going to stay for the week because violets school got cancelled this week, i know you have work so we will just find things to do and then meet you when you can" you smiled and hugged her "that's great news, why dont we get you back to the hotel cause i need to do some planning for work tomorrow" Lizzie agreed and you left the restaurant to see weems, Parker and violet all playing tag and you laughed watching them all and then Parker saw you and ran over to you "can we stay out longer?" She asked and you leant down to her height "sorry dear but we need to go back to school now i need to prepare for your lesson tomorrow, how about you come out with us tomorrow and we can get you those shoes as well?" You asked and Parker smiled and nodded before running off again you laughed and let them have their fun before all saying goodbye and weems drove you all back to school and you dropped Parker off at her room before you went to yours. You fell onto the bed and just laid there "you tired darling?" Seems asked and you nodded yawning "ok how about we have an early night?" She asked and you sat up "i just need to do one more thing for my last lesson tomorrow and then definitely" weems handed you her computer and told you to do it whilst laying down which you happily agreed to and as soon as you finished you put the laptop away and cuddled into weems "thank you for today Rissa" she kissed your head "of course darling now get some sleep" you nodded and fell asleep in her arms.
