Chapter 25 - parents day

You spent the weekend in bed not being able to walk without it hurting so just you watched movies whilst weems worked on her laptop making sure things were perfect for parents day as it was important for her that the school looked presentable, the week was also fast as most of the classes you went to you weren't actually doing work but instead fun activities because the exams were done and it was one of the last weeks before the winter break and before you knew it it was Friday and you were sitting in your last lesson which was botanical science, everyone was talking about their parents coming tomorrow and you couldn't help but feel a bit sad and thornhill could see you weren't enjoying class like normal and came over to you "hey y/n are you ok?" you looked up at her and gave a small smile "yeah I'm all good miss, don't worry about me" she sat down next to you and put her hands on yours "y/n I know it can be stressful with everyone talking about this weekend, if you want you can leave early I wouldn't mind it's not like we're actually doing any work"
"Thank you miss" you accepted the offer and got up leaving to go back to your room. When you walked into the office weems looked at you concerned "hey dear why are you back so early? You still have one last lesson" you walked in and out your bag on the floor before hugging weems "miss thornhill let me go early because everyone was talking about their parents coming and I didn't feel comfortable" weems hugged you a bit tighter and you let out a big sigh "I understand do you want me to come sit with you in bed I can do my work on the bed" you let go of the hug and shook your head "no I'm fine I just want some time to myself I might go for a quick walk if that's ok?" You wanted a fag and you knew if you told her that she wouldn't let you go "that's fine just promise me your ok dear"
"I'm fine I promise just want to clear my head, I won't be long like 30 minutes" you picked up your bag and put it back over your shoulder "ok be safe, I love you" you leaned over and kissed weems "I love you too" and with that you left and sat in the woods with your headphones in smoking and thinking, you tried not to think about your mum but all the talk about everyone else's parents made her pop into your head and you thought about messaging her but stopped yourself because you knew it would only make you think more. Once you finished your fag you walked back to your room and when you got there weems was in a meeting on her laptop you walked in quietly and went straight to your room getting changed into your pyjamas and laying in bed you let your brain wonder and without knowing you started crying you tried to stop but you couldn't and just as you wiped your eyes weems came in "sorry I didn't want to disturb your meeting" you said trying to hide your tears but failing "what's wrong darling?"  She said sitting next to you on the bed and pulling you in for a hug " I just hate my mum, I don't get why she doesn't love me" you said as your voice brakes "darling she is a fool for not loving you, you are the best person and if she can't see that it's her loss" her words calmed you down and you looked at her "thank you Rissa, I don't know what came over me I was fine one minute then I wasn't"
"Hey it's ok darling do you want to watch a movie whilst I make dinner?"
"Yeah that's sounds nice" you picked Jurassic park and sat in bed waiting for weems to come back, about 20 minutes later she came back with 2 bowls of spaghetti bolognaise "here darling your favourite" you always ate spaghetti when you wanted to cheer yourself up "thank you Rissa, i chose Jurassic park but you can change it if you want"
"No this is fine" you both ate and watched the movie, you got up and took your plates to wash up whilst also grabbing yourself a drink "do you want a drink Rissa?" You shouted grabbing a beer from the fridge "can I have some wine?" You grabbed the red wine and poured her a glass "here you go baby"
"Thank you darling" you finished the movie and went to bed early as weems had to be up to greet everyone.

You woke up the next day to weems getting changed into her usual outfit "morning Rissa" you sat up and yawned  "hey darling sorry if I woke you, you can go back to sleep if you want"
"No it's fine, can I come down stairs with you, I just don't want to be by myself at the moment" you said looking down at your arm "of course you can, I have to be downstairs in 10 minutes to give a speech and meet everyone"
"That's fine I'll get changed quickly" you stood up and put a pair of jeans on and a long sleeved white top with a pair of black Jordan 4s "told you I'd be quick I still have 2 minutes" you said walking into the office "I don't get how you can get changed so quickly and look so good" you felt your cheeks warm and you smiled "I guess it's a skill, should we go?" You said holding out your hand "yeah let's go" weems then held your hand and you walked downstairs letting each other go just before anyone could see you "ok we'll i need to go make a speech why don't you try find marylin?"
"Ok I'll find her, good luck with your speech" you walked separate ways and you found thornhill stood at the back of the crowd looking at the empty podium where weems would be soon "hi miss" you said walking over to her "oh hi y/n, I didn't think you were coming"
"I wasn't going to but I didn't trust myself being alone so thought I'd come down for a bit"
"Oh I see well how are you feeling?"
"I'm not too bad, how are you?"
"I'm good very excited to meet everyone's parents" you gave her a small smile and then heard weems over the speakers and you turned your focus to her god she's beautiful and her voice is angelic you thought to yourself as she gave her speech by the end of it people started to separate to give there parents a tour of the school "y/n I need to go now but if you need me I'll be in my room, I'll see you later"
"Bye miss I'll see you in a bit" you said as thornhill walked off leaving you just stood by yourself in the same place.

"hey y/n! This is my mum and dad" Enid said running over "oh hi, nice to meet you" you shook their hands "where are your parents y/n?" Enid said whilst looking around "there not coming Enid" you said putting a hand on her shoulder she immediately hugged you "im sorry" she said into your chest and you just stood there awkwardly "it's not your fault so don't apologise, shouldn't you be showing your parents around?" You suggested as you wanted to be alone "yeah that's true, we'll I'll see you later"
"Bye Enid and it was nice to meet you" you said to her parents as they walked off and you sat on the floor looking at the sky. You looked back over to weems to see she was walking towards you "what are you doing on the floor?"
"Looking at the clouds"
"Well I've met everyone now so do you want to go back up to the room?"
"Can I just stay here for a bit? I might look like a weirdo but it's calm here" you were hoping that your mum might of turned up but you didn't want to tell weems that
"Of course you can stay here, do you want me to stay?"
"You can if you like" weems then sat on the floor next to you and you both sat there watching the clouds.
