Chapter 22 - recovery (slight TW)

You woke up the next day to weems sat next to you on her laptop "morning Rissa" you smiled as you hugged her "good morning darling, I've called in sick for both me and you for the rest of the week so we can just relax and you can gain your strength back"
"Thank you Rissa but I have exams soon so won't I be missing out on things?"
"I've got all your teachers to make you a pack of work for the week so I will go pick them up later and we can do it together throughout the week"
"Thank you Rissa, im sorry for being such a pain"
"Your not a pain darling I'll be here for you every step and we can work through this together" you hugged her tighter and she put her laptop on the bedside table as you hugged her you felt a shooting pain in your wrist
"Are you ok darling"
"Yeah I'm sure it's nothing"
"We talked about this, tell me what's happening" You let go of your grip and showed her your bandage as she started to take it off you explained what you were feeling "I don't know it just started hurting out of nowhere" she handed you a tablet "take this the nurse said it should help with the pain a bit and I'm going to have to clean your arm up so it doesn't get infected" you knew it was going to hurt so you didn't want weems to do it "I can do it Rissa, I'll go do it in the bathroom because it's going to hurt so I don't want to put you through that"
"Don't be stupid y/n I don't mind doing it I told you I'm going to be here for you" "only if your sure because I don't want you to see me in pain"
"It will be alright I'll do it as carefully as I can" you smiled at her and she got up to get the things she needed "ready?"
"I guess" she then put some rubbing alcohol onto a cloth and started to clean your cuts, you were trying to hide the pain and just squeezed your hand together and shut your eyes "im nearly done, your doing so well" she finished cleaning them and wrapped your arm up in a bandage. "are you ok?" She asked putting all the things into her draw "yeah I'm all good, thank you for doing that. Are you?"
"Y/n im fine I just want to look after you"
"Thank you Rissa I'm sorry if I seem weird I'm not used to all this"
"It's ok dear we'll get through it together" you both cuddled up to each other and stayed like that for a while.

You looked at the clock to see it was 1 and everyone would be having their lunch "why don't we go get my work from my teachers?"
"Are you sure you're up for going out?"
"Yeah the fresh air will be good for me and I can't stay in bed all day just let me put a jumper on and we can go"
"Ok as long as your sure" you smiled and stood up putting a jumper on to hide your arm, you were a bit wobbly on your feet so weems helped you walk and you started going to all your classes getting all your work, you went to thornhill class last
"hi miss we've just come to get some work for me to do this week"
"Hi y/n should you be out of bed?"
"No she shouldn't but she insisted on coming" weems said whilst you leaned on a desk "how are you feeling y/n?" Every teacher you went to asked you that question but your answer was always the same "im alright , how are you?" You tried to get the subject off of you "im fine thank you, I've given you a few booklets and wrote you some notes to help you out, feel free to email me if you get stuck on anything and I'll come up and help you out" she handed you a folder of work "I will do thank you miss"
"Let's get going y/n you need to rest"
"Ugh fine let's go, I'll see you later miss it was good seeing you"
"It was good seeing you too y/n look after yourself, bye Larissa"
"Bye marylin, we'll see you later"
You both left and made your way back to the room "can we make one more stop before we go back? I just want to say hi to Enid"
"Why don't we go back to the room first and then we can go see her after lessons have ended"
"That sounds fair" you got back to the room and sat on the bed with weems she was next to you on her laptop doing some work, you put on black widow then grabbed a book from the shelf to lean on and started doing some of your work. You spent around 2 hours going back and forth from your work and the movie and when the movie over you decided to take a break from doing work as you had finished pretty much all of the botanical science work and the school day had technically ended "can I go see Enid now?"
"Have you done your work?" Weems said looking up from her laptop
"Yep done nearly all my work from miss thornhill, so can I?"
"Sure, would you like me to come with you?"
"No I can do it by myself"
"Are you sure I don't mind coming"
"I'll be fine Rissa and if not I'll send Wednesday to get you, I'll be ok"
"Alright dear but don't be too long and if you need me text me" you slowly stood up and made your way to Enid's room. "Hey Enid can I come in?" You said whilst opening the door "of course you can! Are you ok? You didn't look that good yesterday"
"I'm ok Enid thank you for asking I just had an accident, hey have you still got some of that smoking stuff I gave you? Weems has me under her observation so I haven't had a fag in a few days" "yeah I have it in my draw I'll get it and we can go on the balcony" she walked over and got all of the things and grabbed 2 bean bags so you could sit on them "thanks Enid I really needed this, I guess this can be like our walk so catch me up on everything" you rolled and then lit your fag "we'll me and Wednesday are now officially girlfriends but apart from that not much has happened I've just spent my time revising. You're turn what's new?" You knew she wanted to ask what happened but you didn't really want to talk about it "not a lot to be honest I've been revising religiously and then obviously my accident but apart from that I'm boring" you chuckled and just as Enid was about to speak the balcony door opened and Wednesday came and joined you sitting on the same bean bag as Enid "hi y/n, I hope you are feeling a bit better"
"I am Wednesday how are you doing?"
"I'm good, I hear weems isn't letting you out of her sight im surprised your here" "yeah I had to convince her but she let me" all three of you sat and talked for a little bit before your phone buzzed and it was weems 'make your way back now dear, you need to rest' you let out a sigh "sorry guys but I've got to go now" you went to stand up but got really light headed maybe smoking wasn't the best idea "hey, you ok y/n?" Enid asked
"Yeah just a bit light headed, would you mind helping me back to weems' office, I would just feel a bit better with someone to help me walk"
"Of course we'll both come" Wednesday and Enid both stood up and helped you up letting you hold yourself up with both of them and you slowly walked back, you knocked on the door and waited for a response. It didn't take long for weems to answer the door and she looked concerned as you were being held up "thank you guys I'll see you later" you said as you moved closer to the wall holding yourself up "no problem y/n we'll see you later"
"bye y/n" as soon as they were both out of sight weems helped you to bed "what happened dear and don't lie to me"
"Promise me you won't be mad?"
"I promise" you thought about it for a minute "I may or may not have smoked and got really light headed so needed a bit of help walking back" you could tell that weems was trying not to shout at you "darling you shouldn't be smoking at all yet alone in your condition"
"I know i just really wanted one, I'm sorry"
"It's ok dear let's leave it for now"
"Can we go to bed im really tired?"
"Of course we can" you both got changed then went to bed, you fell asleep really quickly as you were worn out from all the walking and talking.

You and weems spent the rest of the week watching movies and doing work whilst staying in bed your arm slowly started to hurt less and you gained your strength back. in a short time it was Sunday and you had finished all the work that was given to you and you felt a lot better "am I going back to classes tomorrow?" You said to weems as you laid in bed "do you feel up for it?"
"Yeah even though I love you I don't think I could spend another whole day in this bed" you laughed and weems did too "as long as you feel ok to do it you can, but I don't want you to push yourself to much"
"I know Rissa I won't"
"Don't forget your also seeing dr kinbott on Tuesday so you won't have to go to lessons then" you didn't want to go but you agreed to for weems so you weren't going to go back on your word
"Ok that's fine, can I ask you something?"
"Anything dear"
"You don't have to say yes but I was wondering if I could just move into your room? It's not like I use my room a lot" "of course you can darling we can get all your belongings in a few days so you have everything you need"
"Thank you Rissa, I love you"
"I love you too darling, let's go to sleep now you have to be up early tomorrow" and with that you both fell asleep.
