Chapter 11 - strike 2

Monday and Tuesday had seemed to go by really fast, you didn't get into any trouble and had gone to every class, you had started to like botanical science a bit more but that's mainly because you had formed a good relationship with Miss thornhill. It was now Wednesday and you were worn out from the amount of work you had been given so you weren't in a good mood you also had archery first which you still didn't like as the teacher was a dick to you, you just sat on one of the hay barrels like you normally do but a boy decided to come over to you and Enid "hi Enid have you seen Wednesday?" The boy seemed to just ignore you
"She said this was a pointless class and wasn't going to come, sorry Xavier by the way this is y/n" she said smiling and pointing at you "oh your the one that said you would punch Ajax" he said chuckling
"Yep that's me" you said with an awkward smile on your face "you don't look like you could beat anyone in a fight" he just smiled but your hands started to shake and turn into a fist as you got angrier, Enid saw this and tried to get Xavier to leave
"Why don't you leave now Xavier?" Enid said in a calm tone "I think I'm good here thank you though Enid" he just smiled and continued to stand in front of you, you stood up he wasn't that much taller then you and he didn't seem like he could fight
"I think you should listen to Enid" you said trying not to hit him "or what?" He moved more in your face and you lost control. You hit him in the stomach making him fall but you didn't stop there and continued to hit him multiple times leaving him with a black eye and multiple bruises all over him before someone could pull you away, you looked to see that it was miss thornhill that pulled you away "that's enough miss l/n!" She shouted you looked at her and nodded but first turned around to Xavier "you didn't see that coming did you?" You said smiling "me and you are going up to the principal and you can explain what just happened to her" thornhill said pulling you by your wrist up to her office. When you got up there you looked down at you hand to see that it was bruised and swollen but you didn't care because it was worth it, thornhill knocked on the door and proceeded to open it - you realised the flowers you gave Weems were still on her desk and thornhill noticed them looking at you and then back to Weems. "Hi miss thornhill what can I help you with?" She looked at you but you didn't say anything
"Miss l/n here decided to punch one of the other students multiple times." You smiled at the word multiple "something funny y/n" Weems said looking at you you tried to hide your smile by looking down "No sorry"
"Thank you for informing me Miss thornhill I'll take it from here, who was the other student?" She stood up and walked over to you and thornhill "Xavier Thorpe" you said with your head still down due to the smile on your face, "go sit down miss l/n and I'll be with you in a minute I'm just going to talk to miss thornhill quickly" you did as she said and sat on one of the multiple chairs staring at your swollen knuckles - this wasn't the first fight you have had so you knew that it was nothing serious even though it did look bad. You couldn't hear what Weems and thornhill were saying so you tried to listen but all you heard was thornhill saying that she will go check on Xavier as she left, Weems shut the door behind her and walked behind her desk sitting down.

"Hi, how are you?" You asked in a confident tone with a smile still on your face. "What the hell have you done y/n!" She shouted standing up
"He was the one who was asking for it" you didn't break eye contact
"We'll this is not acceptable no matter who started it, this counts for more then 1 strike so you have now got 3 strikes and only 2 left so I would tread very carefully." She leaned over her desk and saw your hand "Jesus y/n does that not hurt" she said walking round to inspect your hand  more
"Yeah but I'm fine I'm used to it plus I've had worse. You should see the other guy" you said pulling your hand away and smiling "this is no joke y/n you could get expelled for this!" You didn't really care as you weren't going to let some idiot be rude to you "oh well I guess I'll start packing soon then" you said in a cocky tone Weems didn't like that you seemed to be enjoy this so walked over and grabbed your chin "oh darling I said could, your punishment is going to be a lot worse" she smirked, you couldn't say anything and just swallowed looking at her "now let's get some ice for your hand and I'll deal with your punishment later" she let go of your chin and walked over to the door you didn't move "y/n, let's go" she clicked and you stood up just walking beside her till you got to the medical wing. As you walked into the room you saw Xavier with bruises all over him sat in a bed getting checked out as he winced in pain you let out a little chuckle "miss l/n! Go sit down and be quiet" Weems snapped pointing at a chair and you walked over sitting down quietly, Weems walked over with a nurse and some ice "I don't need to be looked at, I'll be fine" you rolled your eyes
"Shut up and let her do her job" Weems said pulling the curtain as she saw you looking at Xavier. The nurse checked you out and said you were all good but it might take a few days for the swelling to go down "see I told you now can I go?" You said standing up "oh you still have to be punished miss l/n so you won't be going anywhere" Weems smirked at you
"I still have classes though?" You said raising your eyebrow Weems slowly answered "well you must come straight to my office at the end of the day or else" you nodded and walked out with Weems following you to make sure you didn't go near Xavier. Once you left the medical wing you walked fast so you would loose Weems and went for a quick fag you had 10 minutes before your next lesson so you made sure you were quick. You went down to your English class but you didn't do any work and instead just sat watching as you couldn't write without it hurting, you had one more lesson and that was botanical science you decided to go a bit early to see miss thornhill as you wanted to know if she recognised the flowers like you thought she did. You knocked with your foot and heard "come in" so you did
"Hi miss I just came to say sorry for what you saw earlier" you said walking up to her desk "I've never sent that side of you"
She said looking at you "yeah not many people have I just got a bit out of control"
"We'll I don't want to see it again. How's your hand?" She didn't seem to hold the grudge "oh it's a bit swollen so I can't write but it will be fine" you said showing her your hand "that looks like it hurts are you sure you're ok?" She looked at you worried "yeah I'm fine, it's not my first time" she looked at you and just smiled
"We'll miss l/n when I dropped you off with principal Weems I couldn't help but notice some flowers on her desk, they looked very familiar" she said raising an eyebrow
"That's also why I came down here, you can't tell anyone miss!" You said in a slightly worried tone "calm down y/n I won't tell anyone I'm just happy that Weems finally has someone" she smiled to reassure you "oh ok thank you miss now do you want to give me the work for this lesson and I can make sure I do it as soon as my hands better?"
"Yeah that sounds like a good idea, just make sure you listen and I will write you some notes to help you for when you can do it" she said handing you a booklet
"Ok thank you miss I'll get them before the end of the lesson" the bell rang and people started to pile in so you made your way to your seat, you kept your word and listened the whole lesson and when the bell rang everyone rushed out the room, you waited till everyone was gone and went to get the notes from miss thornhill
"Here you go y/n it should help, I have to go to the library now but if you need any help when you can write come find me"
"I will do thank you miss see you later"
You said as you left and made your way up to the principals office when you got there you knocked and waited for a response.
