Chapter 15 - preparation

You woke up before Weems which is a rare occasion so you decided to just look at the beauty in front of you
"Morning darling, how long have you been staring at me?" You felt your cheeks turn red from embarrassment
"Not that long I promise, but can you blame me?" You said smiling as you snuggled up to her not wanting to leave this moment she smiled at your comment "we'll i believe you still have lessons today and if you don't hurry up you will be late" you looked at the clock on the side and saw that you only had 10 minutes until you needed to be in class but you still didn't move "can't I just not go?"
"I still have work to do as well dear and I would hate to have to punish you again" she smirked and you just rolled your eyes "ugh ok I'm going" you stood up and just put the same clothes you had on yesterday on as you didn't have enough time to go back to your room. You left and made your way down to class, because it was a half day the day went really quick and the day of lessons was over but you had more important things to do and that was to get all your things for the raven. You made your way to the library to meet up with thornhill and just like she said she was going to be she was sat in her usual seat reading a book "hi miss I know I'm a bit early so I can come back if you still have things to do?" You said sitting down opposite her "no it's absolutely fine miss l/n we can go now"
"Ok great and also Miss you can call me y/n you don't need to be so formal all the time" you chuckled
"Ok i just need to grab my keys and we can get going, also did you bring the work from last week?" You got your bag off the floor and took the work out
"Yeah sorry it took me so long, here you go" you handed her the work and she checked through it "this is really good
y/n" you didn't really understand most of the work if you were being honest
"Thanks miss your notes really helped"
"I'm glad, we'll then let me grab my keys and we can go" she walked over to her desk in the library and got her keys. You then walked to her car and got in
"You buckled in?" She looked over at you before starting the car "Yep" you smiled at her and she turned the car on, the radio then started playing and you sat in comfortable silence whilst having the odd sing along to a song or two.

You pulled into Jericho and thornhill parked the car "ok so do you want me to come with you or just stay here?"
"Do you mind coming with me I wouldn't mind a bit of advice. This isn't really my thing, I've never been to a dance before" thornhill smiled
"Of course but from what you were wearing on your date the other day you seem to have good choices in suits" she chuckled
"We'll actually my older sister bought that for me a while ago I was surprised it still fit"
"Oh I didn't know you had a sister"
"I actually have two. I don't want to be rude but can we not talk about them? Not now anyway" you were really hoping thornhill wouldn't mention it again and luckily she didn't
"That's absolutely fine y/n! Now where do you want to go first?" She said getting out the car "we'll this shop looks like a good place to start" you pointed at a shop that had loads of dresses and suits in the front window "ok let's go in then" thornhill went in first and you followed, you were surprised at the amount of options and were a bit overwhelmed "what's the theme again miss?" You said whilst looking at some suits "it's to do with climate change, so I think most people are wearing white and blue" you looked through all the suits and couldn't find any that stuck out to you until you came across a dark maroon 3 piece suit "how about this one? I know it's not the colours but I like it" You showed it to thornhill and she just smiled "we'll go try it on and I'll be able to tell you!" You got the right size for you off one of the workers and went into the changing rooms, you looked at yourself in the suit before going out to show thornhill it was a perfect fit and hugged your curves just right, you then left to show thornhill "so what do you think?" Thornhill couldn't hide her excitement "oh my god y/n that's perfect!" You smiled at her response "so do you think I should get it?"
"100% it's perfect" you went back into the changing room and went to the counter to pay. "Is there anywhere else you need to go?" Thornhill asked as you left the shop you thought for a minute and decided you were going to get a little present for Weems "there's one more place but I can do this one by myself, it shouldn't take me too long if you want to go wait in the car or the weathervane?" Thornhill looked a bit suspicious but agreed "I'll be in the weathervane but don't be too long!" And with that you walked around until you found a lingerie shop and went in, you looked around until you found a black lace set you smiled and picked up your size and bought it and made your way to the weathervane to find thornhill. She was sat in one of the booths with a coffee "I told you I wouldn't be to long are you ready to go?" She looked at the bag in your hand and just looked at you shocked, you couldn't help but to laugh at her reaction "y/n is that what I think it is?" She was still shocked "I don't know miss, what do you think it is?" You asked whilst smirking "do you know what I don't think I want to know!" She said whilst standing up "good choice, now let's get going shall we?" You both walked to the car and got in. after being in the car for a while you looked at thornhill "do you know what Larissa is wearing tomorrow?" You wanted to know and weems refused to tell you
"I do. but I've been told not to tell you" she really knew what you were going to do "damn it ok we'll can I at least ask what you're going to wear?"
"im wearing a white pantsuit/dress type thing, I didn't want to go over the top"
"We'll i bet you will look good, also please don't tell Weems about what I'm wearing I want it to be a surprise"
"My lips are sealed" she smiled and before you knew it you were pulling back into nevermore, you got out the car and hid the bag with your present in so you wouldn't get any weird looks and carried your suit up to your room hanging it up on your wardrobe door.

You sat on your bed for a while till you heard a knock at the door you got up to answer it and when you opened the door you were jumped on by Enid "hello to you too, What are you doing here?"
"I just wanted to thank you, if you didn't tell me to shoot my shot I wouldn't have asked Wednesday out and I wouldn't of had a date to the raven" she finally let go of you when she saw the suit bag hanging on the wardrobe "is that it?"
"If by "it" you mean my outfit for tomorrow? Then yes it is" Enid just looked at you jumping up and down
"Would you like to see it Enid?" You didn't even have to ask because you knew the answer "what kind of question is that! Of course I do" you laughed and walked over to the wardrobe pulling down the zip on the bag "OMG! That is amazing you are going to look so good"
You just laughed at her excitement "thank you Enid, I bet you will look good too do you have a pic of your dress or do I have to wait to see it tomorrow?" Enid took her phone out and showed you her dress "that's a lovely dress I bet it will look good on you I can't wait to see you in it tomorrow" you didn't really know what to say because clothes aren't really your thing so you were just saying everything for support "thanks
y/n I hope I look good. I need to go now but I'll see you tomorrow!"
"I'll see you later Enid, have a good night" she then left your room and you locked the door behind her going out onto the balcony to have a fag, you looked at your suit and just thought about everything, you slowly started to think about the last time you wore a full suit and that was to your mums wedding all the thoughts can rushing into your head overwhelming you causing your breathing to speed up so you put some music on and tried to block all the memories out and it seemed to work because you ended up falling asleep on the balcony with a blanket wrapped around you.
