Chapter 4 - Therapy Session

AN - slight TW

It was 8:30 and your alarm was ringing throughout the whole of your room making you wake up, you stayed in bed for about 10 minutes before deciding to get ready you put on the stupid uniform that made you feel like an idiot and smoked one of the fags you took out of the old box so you didn't have to roll one. Before you knew it your phone showed that it was 9:10 and you decided that instead of weems coming to you, you would go to her trying to throw her off the scent of you trying to escape therapy. You grabbed the rest of your things and made your way down the hall to Weems office just as you were about to knock she opened the door "morning miss l/n im surprised to see you here already I didn't expect you to turn up." She said with a shocked face "well I have to go so may as-well not fight it." You said looking at the woman "well let's go get on the road then it's a 20 minute ride making us have 5 minutes spare if we hurry up" Weems stated whilst walking quickly down to her car.  You both got into the car sitting on the edge of the seat uncomfortably, during the car ride the question you were waiting for Weems to ask came up "did you bring your cigarettes?" She said looking between the road and you "I did but only so I can have one before and after my session" you said bluntly trying to ignore the fact that the car was slowing down "you will not be smoking at all whilst you are at Jericho do you understand?" She said parking the car "understood" you said taking your seatbelt off and getting ready to leave the car but a hand grabbed onto your arm "no funny business y/n I mean it I'll be here waiting for you and when your down we may be able to grab a drink at the weathervane cafe if you feel up for it?" She said while you pulled away "we will see how I feel after" you said walking into the office.

You walked up to a door that said dr kinbott on it and knocked waiting for an answer, the door opened and a blonde woman spoke "you must be y/n I am dr kinbott, come on in" she welcomes you in and you sat down looking out a window and not saying much. "Do you know why you are here y/n" she asked trying to get your attention "because of my history with mental illnesses" you said bluntly not wanting to talk about it "would you like to elaborate?" The dr said, you had only been in the session for 5 minutes but it felt a lot longer you only had to stay in for 25 more minutes and the session would be half way through. You thought to yourself for a few minutes, thinking if you should talk about your past you had to say something to kill the time and it might be nice to get it off your chest so you started to talk but none of it felt right. "I was in a mental hospital for a while it wasn't that big of a deal so I don't get why I'm here still" you said faintly not wanting to talk about anything "why were you in the hospital y/n?" She pushed wanting a response "because I got pushed over the edge by everyone ok? im done talking about it!" You shouted standing up "the session is not over y/n it's only been 20 minutes" she said trying to calm you down "well I am done talking ok you have hit a nerve and I am done!" You shouted in retaliation "y/n I never meant to hit a nerve how can I help you calm down?" She questioned calmly "may I go for a breather outside please?" You asked trying to think what you would do if she said no "yes you may as this isn't a punishment but please come back quickly" the dr said whilst opening the door "thank you doctor" you said whilst walking very quickly down the stairs and sneaking past the principals car. You were finally free for a while what were you going to do you you questioned yourself, you decided to go look around the little town and buy some things. By your third shop you had already spent £20 on food mostly so you wouldn't have to go to the canteen for dinner and that's when you realised that Weems was no longer in her car instead she was looking around for you dr kinbott must of told her you never came back so you decided to run through the back door of the shop to find a bench so you sat down lighting a fag but out of nowhere the cigarette was being pushed out your hand onto the floor you turned around standing up angry but you immediately sat back down as soon as you saw who it was that hit it out of you hand. "You have had your fun I see, now it's time to go back I was going to be nice and take you out for a drink but I guess not." Her voice was not an angry voice but more of a disappointed one which made you feel bad "im sorry, but I couldn't deal with that please don't make me go back" you said whilst your leg started shaking Weems saw that you were starting to panic so sat down next to you and put her hand on your back looking at you for permission to hug you, you nodded lightly and then she hugged you, just feeling her embrace immediately calmed you - that never happened normally you push everyone away and kick off but you just didn't want to fight her.

After 10 minutes of just sitting there you heard her soft voice ask "are you ok darling?" You didn't know how to respond as you just wanted to stay in her arms for a little while longer but thought it would sound weird so you just nodded "here are my fags.I know you wanted them" you said handing them over "thank you for giving these to me but I can see that these aren't the same as what you were smoking the other day so I will need to search your room when we get back." You didn't fight her as you didn't want to ruin what had just happened so you nodded and walked back to the car with all your bags.

Whilst sat in the car you didn't speak and just looked out the window your leg still slightly shaking "what did you get in the shops?" Weems asked looking at all your bags "just some food nothing that I'm not allowed" you said quietly "why do you need food we have that back at school?" Weems said whilst still looking at the road "I don't like to eat with lots of people around me, so I thought this would be easier then going to the canteen and I also don't like being in a room with that many people." You said looking at her you didn't want to take your eyes off her and you didn't know why. "You should've told me y/n I would've figured something out for you. Tell me next time and I can help ok?" She said looking at you this time "ok" you said smiling and looking back out the window. Before you knew it you were back at school whilst getting out the car you could tell that you were no longer as stressed as you were earlier just being in the car and that close to Miss Weems calmed you down, Weems helped you back to your room and as you sat on the bed you invited Weems to sit with you and she accepted sitting on the end of your bed. "I am going to have to look around y/n to make sure you don't have anything you shouldn't have, do you want to give it to me or am I going to have to search your room?" She asked standing up "you can look around but you won't find anything." You said confidently. You were sure that she wouldn't find your tobacco the fags that you hid but on the other hand you weren't to sure, she started looking through your draws not finding anything until she got to where the loose cigarettes were and she took a handful of them out looking at you "wouldn't find anything huh?" She asked looking at you "sorry I was hoping you wouldn't search there I just wanted a few just in case." You said looking down "well I'm sorry but you can't have these I shall take them but I don't want to give you another strike so instead I will give you a detention for Friday it will be with miss Thornhill in the library at the end of the day. Don't be late". you were hoping she would say that the detention was with her but she didn't "ok I will not be late, thank you for not giving me another strike" you said "i need to leave now as I have work to do, take the last lesson off I'll tell your teacher you aren't feeling well you need to take some time to yourself. If you ever need to talk my door is open, I mean it don't lock yourself away." Weems said whilst opening the door "thank you miss I'll see you later." You said shutting the door behind her. You were happy that Weems didn't find your tobacco pouch but decided you weren't going to have a fag cause it helps you to calm down but it can also make you over think and with the day that you had you didn't want to risk it. You decided that you were just going to go to bed even though it was only 5 but you had nothing better to do. You put your movie on but dosed off whilst watching oceans 8.

AN - I didn't mean for this to be so long sorry I get carried away the next chapter will be getting a bit closer to Larissa.
