Chapter 5 - The First Kiss

AN - with conversations I'm going to start not writing who said it as it seems very repetitive instead I'm just going to do different lines I hope it doesn't confuse anyone.

You woke up not even looking at the clock as you thought you were late. so started to get ready for fencing as it was your first lesson,so put on your PE kit and the got out your fencing equipment before you put it on you picked up your phone and seeing that the time was 4:30 am so you got changed for nothing so you sat back down thinking what you were going to do for the next 4 hours, you decided that you were going to go for a run as you already had your kit on, you hadn't been for a run yet whilst being at nevermore but it seemed like it would be a nice place for one as it is pretty much just woods. You stayed in bed for a little bit and looked at the time seeing it was 5. You decided that you would go now, you put on your shoes and put your headphones in then locked your dorm. Walking down the quiet dark corridor you found it strange as it was never quiet but seeing that it was only 5 it wasn't that strange as soon as you got outside you felt the cold air hit your face which immediately woke you up so you started running trying to take it slow but you always got carried away and before you knew you had reached Jericho, you didn't plan on running here but it's where you ended up. It was only 5:30 so pretty much nothing was open but you saw the cafe that Weems was talking about was open so you decided to go in and have a drink. You walked in to see just the waiter behind the desk he was only a boy not much older than you
"hi I'm Tyler what can I get for you?"
"Hi just a vanilla latte please"
"Is that all?"
"I'll take a croissant aswell actually"
"Good choice I'll bring it over to you"
"Ok thank you" you said taking a seat at one of the booths
"Not many people come in this early" Tyler said whilst bringing your things over
"I'm not normally up at this time just today I woke up early so I decided to go on a run and ended up here and I have heard good things so thought I might aswell come in"
"We'll good choice, enjoy just shout me if you need anything"
You sat on your phone slowly eating your croissant and drinking your vanilla latte  until you were done. It was a bit after 6 by the time you were done so decided to head off, you went up to the counter and paid and then left after saying thank you. You started running back but you decided to take it slower this time taking in all the scenery around you, you saw the familiar gates of your school and decided before going in you were going to smoke so you sat on a bench just outside the school and started smoking.

Once you finished you walked through the doors of the school where now the lights were on and you could hear people's alarms going off, you walked back through the same corridor as earlier but this time there was someone else's light on and it was the principals, the door was open and she was sat at her desk so you decided that you were going to knock just to say good morning.
"Good morning miss" you said whilst knocking
"Y/n you startled me! What are you doing up and dressed so early?" She asked inviting you in
"I woke up stupidly early so went for a run"
"You're just coming back now? What time did you go out?" Her voice seemed shocked and confused
"I left here at 5 and ran to that cafe you were talking about"
"That is very early please don't go out of the school that early again, not by yourself atleast"
"Sorry it wasn't in the rules so I didn't know I won't do it again" you said going to walk out.
"Wait miss l/n can you stay for a few more minutes? I just want to talk to you about yesterday"
"Yeah sure but I don't think there's much to talk about if I'm being honest"
"I beg to differ you were in quite the state" she moved to sit closer to you
"Yeah I'm sorry about that I don't normally show my emotions in front of people like that, I just felt like you wouldn't judge I guess" you say as you let her sit next to you.
"I would never judge you darling, we all have emotions and yours just took over yesterday it is nothing to be ashamed of" she said putting her hand on you shoulder, normally you wouldn't like that but you didn't mind you let yourself relax into her hand.
"I grew up being told to not let anyone see my weaknesses or I would be punished so it's never been normal for me to do that but thank you for understanding"
"You never have to thank me and it's like I said yesterday I am always here whenever you need me"
"I will take that into account next time when I'm overthinking" you said placing your hand on hers, she picked up your face to make it so you were looking at her - this can't be happening right now is she going to kiss me? You thought staring into her eyes. You decided to give a slight nod to say that if she wanted to kiss you she had your permission and before you knew it her soft lips were on yours, she had such nice lips and you felt so comfortable but she pulled away quickly.
"I am so sorry I don't know what just happened" she said in a state of shock standing up but before she could walk away you pulled her back down so she was sat next to you.
"There is nothing to apologise for I liked it"
"Really?"
"Yes it was nice" you said in a reassuring calm voice
"Well I liked it too!"
"I need to go shower before my first class but I'll come back at the end of the day and we can talk, does that sound good?"
"Of course I will see you later" Weems said as you let go of her hand and walked out the door.

As soon as you got to your room you fell onto the bed - there's no way that just happened did I really just kiss my principal? This must be a dream there's no way that doesn't happen that only happens in the movies - you questioned everything in your head before realising it wasn't a dream and it actually happened. You got in the shower still very confused but happy at the same time just thinking about how soft her lips were and how you wouldn't of minded staying in that moment forever not having to leave her side, you washed your hair and body then got out not taking your mind of Weems and getting ready deciding you couldn't wear the same clothes for PE that you had just worn for your run as they were dirty so you put a fresh set of jogging bottoms on and a white long sleeved t-shirt no one would see what you were wearing anyway as you had to put a fencing suit on but you still wanted to look presentable just in case. The first bell rang telling you that it was only 10 minutes before first lesson so you left your room walking to the lesson, everyone was in there white fencing outfits including you but one person stuck out and of course it was Wednesday in an all black suit instead you don't know what you were expecting as it was Wednesday but it made you chuckle to yourself. The lesson went fast as you were partnered with Enid so it was really just a catch up session that's when Enid told you that there was a fun fair that everyone was going to later that night, you didn't know how to feel about it as it is a lot of people and very loud but apparently it was mandatory to go as no one else was going to be at the school so you had no choice but to go. You decided that you weren't going to tell Enid about what happened with Weems as she can't seem to keep a secret but you told her that you would be at the fair and with that the first lesson was over, you had maths next then botanical science last. Maths felt like you were in there for eternity but it always did as you didn't like maths but it finally finished you normally had a 20 minute break between your lessons but not today it was only 5 minutes so you decided to head straight to Miss thornhills class, when you got there none of the other students were there yet but miss thornhill invited you in.
"Afternoon miss l/n how are you?"
"I'm good and you?" You responded walking up to her desk
"I'm good I just wanted to check in as I saw you running this morning In Jericho"
"Yes I just went for a run as I couldn't sleep. What were you doing up that early?"
"It's not early for me I go to the weathervane cafe every morning before work so I can check my emails and have a drink"
"I see I actually went for a drink there this morning I was the only one there though so must of just missed you going in"
"Yeah you must of" people started coming in so you decided to finish up the conversation and sit at your desk. You didn't listen that much but instead you thought about the end of the day when you were going to talk to Weems and thought about what you were going to say and after 30 minutes the lesson was over and you were walking up to the principals office stressing yourself out about what you were going to say. You reached the door and knocked...
