𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐃 cold and wet at lord Borros Baratheon's castle. The young Prince slowly walked up to the guards, startled by the large roar coming from behind him. When he turned around, he saw nothing. He shook his head at himself, sure that he was imagining things.

"I am Prince Lucerys Velaryon. I bring a message to lord Borros from the Queen." The Knights nodded at the Prince's words and escorted him inside.

Baratheon's Knight spoke, "Prince Lucerys Velaryon. Son of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen." Lucerys looked around, frightened by the noises happening outside. The room was almost completely empty, except for Borros and a few of his Knights. Lucerys remembered his mother's words before departing, he was here as a messenger, not a warrior.

"Lord Borros," the boy breathed. "I brought you a message from my mother, the Queen." Lucerys felt proud calling his mother the Queen. But Borros didn't look impressed. In fact, he looked conflicted. "Yet earlier today I received word from the King himself. Which is it?" Borros asked Lucerys, who tried to stay as calm as possible. "King or Queen?" Borros was a man with little patience, and he did not like getting fooled. Lord Baratheon then scoffed at the young Prince, "the House of the Dragon does not seem to know who rules it."

"What's your mother's message?" Lucerys held out the scroll for the Knight to take it. He then walked further to Borros to hand it to him, who sighed when he looked at it. "Where's the bloody Maester?" The maester came running to his lord. He opened the scroll, looked at it, and then rolled it up again. He lowered his mouth next to Borros's ear as he whispered what it said.

Borros frowned in anger as his attention moved back to Lucerys. "Remind me of my father's oath? King Aegon at least came with an offer: my swords and banners for a marriage pact. If I do as your mother bids, which one of my daughters will you wed, boy?"

Lucerys still felt anxious, not because of the atmosphere the castle held but because of something different. Something strange was going on, but he couldn't quite figure it out. "My lord, I am not free to marry, I'm already betrothed," he then responded. Borros narrowed his eyes on the boy, "so you come with empty hands." The lord grinned at the young boy. "Go home, pup. And tell your mother that the lord of Storm's End is not some dog that she can whistle up at need to set against her foes."

The Prince held eye contact with the lord, disappointed by his answer. "I shall take your answer to the Queen, my lord." Lucerys turned around, ready to walk back outside. "The Queen," a strange voice sounded through his ears. Lucerys recognized it, but because of the echo he was still unsure. The young Prince turned back around, looking wide eyed at the individual who had walked out of the shadows.

"Should know better than to send a bastard to negotiate on her behalf." Aegon crossed his arms as he leaned against a wall. "Did you really think that you could just fly about the realm trying to steal my Throne at no cost?" Lucerys gritted his teeth, "the Throne is rightfully hers." He tried to keep calm, but he did not like anyone disrespecting his mother. "Then why did Viserys speak my name on his deathbed?" Aegon pouted, trying to get a reaction out of the young Prince. Lucerys felt his blood boil, but he remembered his mother's words. "You are full of lies, usurper." Aegon clicked his tongue against the back of his teeth. "I suggest you choose your next words very carefully, bastard."

But Lucerys had already tipped over the edge, "haven't you been wondering where your brother has been?" He taunted, leaving Aegon stand dumbfounded. Lucerys smirked, "perhaps you'd like to hear about his alliance to us." Aegon's eyes turned murderous at the boy's words. He took a step forward, gripping his sword. "Speak more lies and I will remove your tongue, bastard."

"Lie? My Prince, I am being truthful. He has even bent the knee to his Queen." Lucerys tilted his head back as he looked at Aegon's expression. He could see that the usurper was believing his words, even if Aegon claimed that he had not. But it is then that Aegon remembered the activities Aelora and Aemond had found themselves in all those months ago. And he did not like it, he wanted her for himself.

Aegon pulled out his sword as he rushed over to Lucerys, "tell me you are lying!" But before Lucerys could respond, Borros opened his mouth. "Not in my hall! There will be no violence here." He then turned to his Knights, "take Lucerys Velaryon back to his dragon." The young Prince took his hand off his sword as he followed the Knights outside. Aegon watched him leave, putting his sword away. He lowered his eyes to the stones, a smile creeping on his face.

Lucerys could barely see through the rain, it had thundered twice as much as when he arrived. The young Prince quickly climbed on the distraught dragon's back. "Lykiri, Arrax. Soves!"(calm down, Arrax. fly) Arrax's soft roars left his mouth as he took to the sky. Lucerys did his best to keep his eyes open, but the rain was proving itself to be too hard. He kept his attention on Arrax as he tried to remain calm. He knew Arrax could feel him, and he did not want him to panic.

A distant growl sounded from behind Lucerys, making the boy turn around. But there was nothing to see. And even though he didn't see anything, he still felt uneasy - like anything could pop out at any given moment. It is when Lucerys looked up, he could feel his heart drop. A dragon four times the size of Arrax flew over their heads, its scales as golden as the sun. Sunfyre flew over them, a laughing Aegon riding him. Lucerys started to panic as he gripped the handles, turning Arrax to the right.

He could hear Aegon laughing as he chased the young Prince around. Aegon had no desire to kill him, he just wanted to scare him really good. He wanted him to run back scared, telling Rhaenyra what happened. The news would surely reach Aelora's ears, and she'd come look for him. That is his plan.

But Aegon lost Lucerys as Arrax dove down in-between a ravine, which Sunfyre was too big for. Aegon groaned as he pulled Sunfyre up to fly above it. Lucerys looked above him, releasing his breath as he noticed that Sunfyre could not follow him. He turned his attention back to Arrax, "Lua gīda, Arrax." (keep calm, Arrax)

The rain had been an inconvenience for Aegon, but helpful for Lucerys. He guided Arrax through the storm, away from Aegon and his dragon. But Arrax could feel Luke's agitation, and when close enough, he opened his mouth to release his fire. The flames hit Sunfyre's face, the dragon turning away immediately. "Daor, Arrax!" (no Arrax) But Luke's shouts had been too late. "Daor Arrax, dohaeragon issa!" (no Arrax, serve me)

Aegon panicked as he felt Sunfyre shift underneath him. "No, Sunfyre. No, no no, no!" The dragon no longer listened to its rider's command. No matter how much Aegon tugged on the handles, it was useless. Panic took place in Aegon's body as Sunfyre flew up, following Arrax and Luke above the clouds.

The air had been cleared, the sun coming up from behind the clouds. Lucerys, still frightened, turned around to make sure Aegon had not followed him. Lucerys kept his eyes behind him, and when he turned back around, he was met with Sunfyre's sharp teeth.

"Sunfyre, no! No!" Aegon yelled as he saw parts of Arrax's body fall down. Sunfyre flew further, but Aegon could not keep his eyes off the horror that had taken place. He kept looking behind him, the parts of the dragon's body had made its way below the clouds.

Aegon's plan had failed. His marriage to Princess Aelora was out of the question now, since he was sure she would have his head for her brother's murder.

The usurper King thought he had faced many horrible things, but Aelora Targaryen would be the worst one yet.
