Aaliyah's POV

"I thought you'd be asleep" Kelly said. I paused the tv show and looked at Kelly "couldn't sleep" lie.

"I'm gonna take a shower" she said and I nodded humming, resuming my tv show.

I can sleep but I wanted to spend the night with my soon to be wife and at least try and bond with her.

I can't live my whole life like this. We both don't want this but we don't have to make this harder than it already is.

After a bit, I heard the shower turn off and saw Kelly walk out the shower with a towel around her body.

I tried to focus on the tv but kept taking quick glances at her as she walked towards the closet. She walked out with grey sweatpants and a sports bra on with her wet hair falling over her shoulders.

Seeing her in casual clothes is really nice.

She went towards the mirror and put some product in her hair and brushed it as I focused on her back muscles flexing. She had an unexpected amount of muscles.

Also has some really sexy tattoos. I like that.

She turned to look at me "you want anything to eat?" She asked sitting down on the couch a bit away from me "no I'm good" she nodded and watched tv with me.

"My dad invited your parents over tomorrow" I looked at her and she looked away from the tv, putting her attention on me "why?" I asked.

My heart started beating fast. I don't want to see them.

"Because we're gonna get married. My parents would like to get to know your parents more" she explained and I swallowed a lump in my throat and looked down "you okay?" She asked.

I took a deep breathe and looked back at her "can we go to my sister's house tomorrow? I really don't want to see my parents" she nodded her head immediately "yeah sure"

Okay, direct answer, no questions asked, good I like that.

"Ready?" Kelly asked and I nodded my head "yeah, let's go"

I took my purse and went downstairs with Kelly.

My sister got married to her now husband of ten years. She got to go live the life she wanted and I'm so happy she did, she deserves to be happy.

She's been with me through everything and all i want is for her to find peace and happiness for herself.

We got in the backseat as the driver drove us to my sister's house.

"Is that it?" Kelly asked and I nodded, telling the driver to stop the car which he did "thank you so much" I said making him smile "of course"

Kelly got out of the car and left the door opened for me. I could imagine my wife putting her hand out for me and helping me out of the car since we just got newly engaged but of course she didn't do that.

She doesn't seem like a romantic and affectionate person at all. Well obviously she isn't.

I got out of the car and she closed it for me. She placed her hands in her pockets like she always does as we walked towards their door.

I knocked on the door and a few minutes later it opened showing my sister, Diane.

I hugged my sister tightly as Kelly gave us our space and stood behind me.

"this is Kelly, Kelly this is Diane" I told Diane not to shake Kelly's hand or offer it so it doesn't turn out to be awkward. It's either going to be a really awkward handshake or Kelly is going to turn it down which makes it awkward.

"Nice to meet you" Kelly said, still a straight face "nice to meet you too" Diane said with a big smile on her face. She's a very smiley person.

We walked in her house and I crouched down when I saw her daughter running towards "auntie!" She yelled wrapping her arms around my neck.

"How are you baby?" I asked still hugging her "I'm sooo good. Mommy and daddy bought me new legos to build" she said pulling back from the hug "that's so nice"

"Who's this scary girl?" She whispered to me. I turned to look at Kelly "this is my fiancée" she leaned closer to me "she's really pretty but she's scary"

"She really is" I whispered back to her making her laugh "you don't want to say hi?" I asked her. Lily looked at Kelly and walked towards her, looking down at her feet "hi pretty girl" Kelly said crouching down, a smile forming on her face.

This woman can actually smile? Wow.

She has a very pretty smile.

"Hi, I'm Lily" she said playing with her fingers nervously "I'm Kelly. Nice to meet you" Kelly said offering Lily a handshake. Lily smiled and seemed more relaxed as she shook Kelly's hand "nice to meet you too"

Kelly stood up again and walked with us towards the living room where Diane's husband was at.

"Aaliyah, hi" he said hugging me tightly "feels like I'm hugging my long lost sister" he jokingly said and I laughed "I know, I gotta visit more"

We sat down on the couch. Kelly was next to me with her legs spread apart but not too much, kinda sexy not gonna lie.

"Can you build legos with me?" Lily asked Kelly. I looked at Kelly to see if she wants to "of course" Kelly said smiling widely which made Lily extremely happy.

It shocked me but I think it's cute how she's like this with kids but it'll be nice if she was like this generally.

They both sat on the ground a bit on the side, not in the middle of the living room and started building the Lego house together.

I started talking to my sister and her husband about a lot of things then took some glances at Kelly and Lily.

Kelly seemed to enjoy building the Lego house with Lily. If she wanted to build something, she would frown her eyebrows and stick her tongue out a little to focus. It's just precious.

"You still with us?" I looked back at Diane and nodded "yeah sorry what did you say?"

"I'm gonna leave you two girls alone, I have a few things to finish and I'll be back as quick as possible" Travis said kissing Diane's cheek making her smile "bye, I love you" he said pecking her lips "I love you more"

"Bye" he said to me "bye" he walked out of the house then Diane sat down next to me "seems like you really like Kelly" I frowned my eyebrows at what she said. I told her I didn't like Kelly because of cold she is and how she barely talks to me so I have no idea why she's saying this now.

"Why would you say that?" I asked laughing "your eyes speak for you baby" she smiled and looked at Kelly who approached us.

Kelly leaned down to my ear and placed her hand on my arm "your parents are gonna take a while. I have to leave in an hour because I have some work to do but call me whenever you wanna leave" she pulled back, her face still very close to mine.

I looked down at her lips then back into her eyes "yeah okay" I said smiling. She nodded and went back to Lily.

"You look weird" Diane said laughing "I'm literally turned on what the fuck" she laughed loudly making Kelly and Lily turn to look at her laughing "mommy always laughs loud" Lily said making Kelly let out a small laugh "sorry sorry, I'll be quiet"

"Why are you turned on?" She whispered to me "I don't know, something about her voice is so sexy goddamn" she laughed again "she's better than mom and dad, she'll treat you better just let her warm up to you"

"She's already treating me better than mom and dad. She just needs time I think"
