Hayley had led Georgia and Elijah back to the shack where she had been held by Tyler. There, they found Klaus inspecting the limp body that sat upon the porch. "There you are! I see you've found our wandering stray. Perhaps you could shed some light on the situation. This-" he kicked the body over. "appears to be a hybrid."
"His name was Dwayne." Hayley spoke, avoiding eye contact with Klaus.
"Well, whoever it was, I didn't sire him. Any idea how that's possible?"
Georgia scoffed, mumbling to herself. "As if you didn't know"
Klaus leapt toward her, but he was held at bay when Elijah stepped in-front of her protectively.
"Ahhh, well, aren't you two fast friends? Oh, come on, then. What kind of horrible accusation have you three conspired to levy against me?" Klaus rolled his eyes, stepping back.
"Tyler Lockwood brought Hayley here to test a theory." Klaus nodded at his brother, encouraging him to continue. "That the blood of her child could be used to sire hybrids. He claims that you knew that. Furthermore, that you intended to use this knowledge to build an army."
"And, of course, you assume it's true. I mean, why else would I show interest in my own flesh and blood? A heartbroken little crybaby points his finger at me, and my own brother falls in line, eager to believe it! How quickly you believe the worst, Elijah"
"Oh, spare me your indignation. When have you ever demonstrated any kind of concern towards Hayley or her child, beyond your own selfish pursuits? And what was it you once said to me? 'Every king needs an heir!'" Elijah scoffed, watching as his brothers features grew angrier.
"My big brother. So, you doubt my intentions? Well, I can't say I'm surprised, standing next to the noble Elijah, how can I be anything but the lesser brother? A liar, a manipulator, a bastard." They maintained eye contact as klaus stepped back towards Elijah, who began to question wether for once his brother was being honest.
"That's all I am to you, isn't it? And Rebekah. And, judging by the way Hayley hangs on your every word, it's clear she feels the same way! No doubt my child will as well." His features darkened. "But you, you fooled me"
Georgias face dropped as all attention turned towards her. "I believed you and I were cut from the same cloth, that you understood me."
Elijah attempted to diffuse the situation. "Brother, if-"
"You've said all that needs to be said, brother." He stepped back once again, holding his arms out in defeat. "I'll play the role I've been given."
He turned, each of the remaining trio almost audibly sighing in relief. But that sigh became caught in their throats as Klaus sped round, biting Elijah savagely on the neck. Georgia stared in shock as Klaus stepped towards her and Elijah stumbled back in shock. She frowned, beginning to cower away in fear but she was stopped by his strong grip. He held her close, placing a firm hand on her waist as he began to drink from her, the feeling of his teeth sinking into her flesh sent an unsettling shiver throughout Georgia's body.
