CHAPTER 28 [ New Orleans, 2011 ]
"How have you been?" Georgia was in the mikaelson study, watching from the window as drunken tourists filed down the narrow streets. Dinner had went alright, however awkward to say the least - with Klaus' cheeky comments and Elijah's worried glances. The topic of the resurrected witches remained prevalent and peace seemed closer to Georgia now than it had ever been, all she had to do was find the final 3.
She turned, looking toward the smartly dressed man with a small smile playing upon her features. "I've been okay"
"I'm relieved to hear that" he smiled to himself as he fiddled with a pen that lay upon the desk.
"What about you? Klaus was saying you were pretty stressed." She sighed, sitting upon the arm of his reading chair.
"If I'm honest Georgia..." he glanced up at her, edging closer with every step. "I've had a lot on my mind"
She nodded in agreement. "Me too. Silence is deafening, it brings out the darkest parts of yourself"
He frowned. "You did not have to suffer it alone."
"You had other things to worry about" she looked away but she was quickly brought back as he hooked her chin with his pointer finger.
"You have consumed my thoughts for the past week, Georgia. You are all I worry about. I feared Davina's death would make you unrecognisable, make you something you're not - a monster" he sighed, bringing his hand back down to his side.
"She had all the power in the world and she was still kind. I mean don't get me wrong, I thought about it but it wouldn't bring her back and I guess you guys were right in the end, she will come back"
"And I will do everything in my power to return her to you as soon as possible" he brushed her hair from her face, smiling.
She smiled, looking up at him. "Thank you Elijah"

Sabine made her way down the street but as she sensed a presence behind her, she turned. "Elijah. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"My family needs an ally among the witches, and you've helped us in the past. Perhaps together we can avoid an unnecessary conflict." He reasoned, stepping towards her.
She rolled her eyes. "They may be willing to make a deal, if it were with the noble Elijah. But there will never be any peace at long as it involves Klaus"
"Is that what all this is about? You want my brother out of town?" He raised an eyebrow, leaning against the streetlight.
"I'm just telling you how they feel. My people are scared, they're desperate, but they're not dumb. You have a niece on the way. It stands to reason you'd be willing to discuss how to run him out of the city." She shrugged as she continued walking.
