CHAPTER 38
[ New Orleans, 2012 ]Georgia was going about her day as normal, cleaning up the apartment while Davina was at school. She made sure to study Davina closely that morning, Marcels words planting a seed within her mind. But her sister seemed as normal as ever as she grabbed her backpack and morning coffee and left the house. She wasn't sure why Davina was at Joes, but after all, she hadn't done anything wrong and so she left it alone.
Just as she sat down to watch some TV after cleaning for what seemed like all morning, a knock sounded out, as well as an audible groan from Georgia. Shock was evident upon her face as Klaus and Hayley stood before her as she opened the door, Klaus' face beaming with a smile while Hayley avoided eye contact entirely. "Hello?"
"Georgia love, I was hoping you would do me a favour?" He smirked, leaning against the doorway.
"Back out in the open now huh?" She opened the door fully, allowing the pair to step inside. "What is it?"
She furrowed her brow as Hayley remained outside of the apartment, before everything clicked. "Oh, sorry you can come in"
Georgia tried her best to seem comfortable, after all - no one knew what she witnessed that night. While Hayley was acting strange she just put it down to her new transition and of course the loss of her child.
"Would you be so kind as to locate the white oak stake?" Her face wrinkled in confusion. "Marcel didn't fill you in?"
Klaus' rotten smirk made it clear to Georgia that he had been filled in on her situation with Marcel. She rolled her eyes playfully as she leant against the kitchen counter. "No he didn't"
"Ah well, the stake disappeared on the night we lost our child." He glanced towards Hayley, who stood silently at his side. "I was hoping to get it back."
Georgia frowned. "And I would love to help but - I'm kind of taking a step back from the magic stuff"
"I heard, you and Davina have left your coven" she nodded, fiddling with her hands nervously. "You're not willing to help a dear friend?"
"Last time I helped you, I was happy to - don't get me wrong - but I got wrapped up in your family drama really quickly and I'm just trying to enjoy the peace Klaus. I hope you find it though."
"I understand." He nodded.
"And, I'm really sorry about what happened." She looked between the two, Klaus' eyes were sad yet warm while Hayley's were bitterly cold. She was angry and Georgia didn't know why. "if you come up with no better options, I'll help."
"Thank you love, now do stay out of the cauldron - Hayley and I are going on a little witch hunt. Any you want to cross off your list?" He smirked.
Georgia laughed softly, rolling her eyes. "I'm good you two have fun though"
