CHAPTER 46
[ New Orleans, 2012]Georgia, Marcel and Josh were sat on the couch in the loft, enjoying the latest instalment of Davina's life. Marcel sat on the arm beside Georgia, his arm lay protectively behind her while Josh leant back, completely enthralled. "... but I seriously screwed up, you guys. I was with Kaleb last night, and he took the white oak stake when I was asleep."
Georgias eyes widened. "Esther has the white oak stake?"
Josh sighed, sending Marcel a knowing look, which Georgia picked up on. "I-I'm sorry, I never should have trusted him."
"What?" Georgia raised an eyebrow looking between Josh and Marcel.
"Kol doesn't have the stake. Klaus does." Marcel chuckled as Georgia let out a sigh of relief. But Davina still looked confused. "Matter of fact, Klaus has Kol, too."
"Wha-? How is that possible?" She shook her head, looking between them all.
"D, I'm the one who took him." Georgia sighed, watching as Davina grew angrier. "I saw an opportunity, and I wasn't gonna pass it up. Trust me, we are all safer this way."
"Not Kaleb! Klaus will kill him!" Georgia couldn't help but see herself in Davina, it was like watching from behind glass, as her younger self fell into all the same destructive patterns all over again.
"His name isn't Kaleb, it's Kol. And, Klaus has had a thousand years to kill him, and he hasn't. So, worry less about him, and more about yourself. Alright? This guy is not your friend. He wants to use you to get his own way!" Marcel snapped, glancing down at Georgia. She tried to ignore the look in his eye, the messages behind his words but she knew he wasn't only speaking to Davina.
"You don't know him like I do." Georgia sighed, running a hand through her hair.
"I know him better than you do." Josh fiddled with his hands as the pair bickered.
"You never say anything to Georgia about-" before Davina could finish, Georgia stood, putting an end to the altercation.
"Enough." She snapped. Marcel sighed, rolling his eyes as she stared at him harshly.
"Now, I'm sorry I had to go behind your back. And I hate lying to you, I really do, but believe me, this is for your own good. I gotta take care of some business, alright? Stick with them, don't do anything stupid. Everything's gonna be okay." He grabbed his coat, brushing past Georgia without saying a word.
"Marcel..." he ignored her, rushing out of the loft. It was almost as if he knew and she hated that. She barely knew how she felt about her entire situation but as usual, Marcel read her like a book. She knew she had been pushing him away, stopping him from making plans or being cuddly - but after all, they weren't anything and he had no right to be mad at her. As a matter of fact, he had no right to be mad at her at all, she hadn't done anything.
"What did you do?" Davina raised an eyebrow.
Georgia sighed, shaking her head. "You tell me"

"We arrive into this world as innocents. Wide-eyed. Vulnerable. It is the job of our parents to nurture and protect us. Unfortunately, our own parents failed miserably at even the most basic of parental tasks. But, we are not beholden to the past they created for us." Klaus and Elijah were having breakfast as usual, however now with 2 new guests. Kol and Finn sat across from them, bound with enchanted manacles.
"Today, a new future awaits. Forget your animosity toward Elijah and myself. Instead, join us against she who truly deserves your ire- our mother." Kol rolled his eyes, leaning back in his chair. His uninterest mirrored by Finn.
