CHAPTER 23 [ New Orleans, 2011]
Marcel gently entered Davina's room within the compound, praying she was silently asleep. But when he was suddenly thrown against the wall, it was safe to assume she wasn't. The food he had brought for her was strung across the room as Marcel sat slumped against the wall.
"Go away!" She cried out. He knew she was frightened, the fear was evident behind her eyes.
"Come on. You got to be starving. Georgia said you haven't eaten since-" he sighed, standing and brushing the crumbs from his clothes.
"Since your best friend killed my best friend?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Davina, I'm sorry about what happened to this kid Tim."
Georgia sighed, she was sat in the living room with Hayley and Elijah. She had warned Marcel that a conversation wouldn't go down well, but he was adamant he could bring Davina back around.
"I'm sorry you don't hate Klaus for what he did or want to make him pay." Davina scoffed.
"He'll pay for what he did one way or the other, but right now, I just want to make peace with you." Marcel reasoned, slowly inching toward her.
"Why? So you can date my sister again and we can be one big happy frankenstein family?" She yelled. Georgia couldn't help but let a snicker escape from her lips. Elijah smirked, glancing toward her as Hayley raised an eyebrow.
Klaus suddenly entered the room. "Well, that's going well."
"If you were trying to win the girl's trust, perhaps poisoning her one true love was not the most splendid idea." Elijah remarked, noticing how Georgia instantly tensed at his brothers presence, the smile falling from her face.
"Oh. Are there any more inopportune deaths you'd like to wave in my face?" Klaus scoffed, sitting beside Georgia on the chair. She shuffled in the other direction, leaning against the arm of the couch.
Elijah rolled his eyes. "Give me a month. I'll get you list."
"Young, old, dead, or alive, witches are a pain in the ass." He smirked, glancing toward Georgia.
She stood, ignoring the flippant comment and slipped out of the room. Klaus sighed as he stood also and quickly followed behind the girl.
Hayley spoke up, her voice no more than a whisper. "Elijah? There's something you need to know."
Before she could continue, the compound began to shake violently, imitating an earthquake. The pair made their way to the balcony, glancing down at Rebekah who stood below them. "What the hell is going on?"
Georgia and Klaus appeared from the study, Georgia rushed into Davina's room, while Klaus made his way towards his siblings. A solemn look upon his face. "Davina."
