*ROC*

I had never seen Rain, or any girl cry so hard in my life! The tears just poured down from her eyes and I didn't know what to do, if I touched her would she push me away? Bracing myself to be shoved or slapped I slowly moved towards her and brought her into my lap. She didn't hit me or push me away, instead she cried into my chest.

"Roc you have no idea what ya'll have put me through. I-I don' t think I can trust you." She stood up wiping her eyes and walked out, I had a feeling that told me not to chase her, let her go. I've done enough damage, she'd be happier without me.

~~NEXT DAY~~

Word had spread throughout the school that I kissed Rain, but after snapping on the guys about it no one dared bring it up. Rain didn't talk to, or even look at me in first period and at lunch I heard she was eating in the library with Angie...not that I cared...

After school the guys and I all had football practice and when it was done I sat on the bleachers to even out my breathing.

"Hey Roc." Said Chelsea.

The whole school knew she was "that" type of girl, and she was head of the cheer team. Meanwhile Rain was the best dancer on the dance team.

"What do you want?"

She sat in my lap and put her arms around my neck."Oh, don't be like that Roc. I heard you're single."

"And?" I said, sliding her off me and onto the bleacher.

"I'm single too. For now."

"And that matters to me why?"

She gave me no type of warning before shoving her lips onto mine. Naturally I felt the urge to kiss back and I did. I heard footsteps along the grass and voices. The entire dance team was walking by. When Rain passed me she frowned and Angie looped her arm through Rain's, trying to make her walk quicker. The pain in her eyes was like nothing I've ever seen.

That ONE pain filled look told me a lot. She still liked me, and I still mattered to her. That was the ONLY look I needed.

"Rain!" I yelled to her.

She stopped as the other girls, except Angie kept going. She looked back at me and our eyes met. Then Angie mumbled something to her and Rain sighed before rushing to catch up with the others.

"Damn." I mumbled.

Chelsea grabbed my hand. "It's ok, you don't need her."

I snatched my hand away and scoffed. "Girl go somewhere with that!"

She stormed off and Ray, Prince, and Prod approached me laughing.

"Dang man! You ganna let that loser blow you off like that!?" Prod asked.

"Prod sut up, She ain't no loser ok."

"Woah their Mr. Tuff guy, whatever you say alright. Don't get your panties in a twist." Prod continued.

"Screw you ok." I said before storming off towards the locker room to change and walk home ALONE.

Just as I put my key in the front door a car went by, it was Rain's mom's car and she was in the passenger seat. Dang, she didn't even wanna risk walking at the same time as me. Ugh. What could I do?
