*ROC*
Rain had been in the hospital for a week and I wasn't allowed to see her. The last days of school seemed pointless because I never got to see Rain. I was throwing a small round ball at the wall above where my feet were and caught the ball as it bounced back towards me. I had nothing to do because Ray kept making up excuses as to why we couldn't hang out, same with Prod and Princeton. When my phone rang it scared me and I accidently threw the ball too hard, it bounced of the wall and out my open window.
"Damn." I muttered. There goes my entertainment.
"Hi Roc."
"Hi who is this?"
"Ms.Johnson, Rain's mom."
"Oh hello."
"Hey. Um could you do me a favor?" She asked slowly.
"I guess so.'
"Go see Rain, she says she doesn't want you to, but I know she does, she's always crying."
"Ok. But Ms.Johnson what happened in the first place?"
I heard her sigh. "Roc please just go see her."
"Yes ma'am."
"There's a spare key taped under the chair. Tell her I'll be home around 6."
I glanced at my cable box, it was only 2:45.
"Yes ma'am. Bye."
"Bye."
My mom gave me a ride to Rain's house and I used the secret key to unlock the door. The house was hot due to the summer weather kicking in and it was really quiet except for a low hum. I climbed the stairs and as I got closer to Rain's room the humming got louder. Her room was brightly lit due to the sun shining through her open window.
I looked at her bed where she layed in her bathing suit top and short shorts, the humming sound was a fan that was aimed at her bed to cool her down. Wrapped around her arm was an ace bandage and she had a band aid on her forhead. Her chest moved slightly up and down as she slept, but her breathing was even and looked painless, unlike when I saw her at the hospital a week before.
I closed her window just enough so that the sun wasn't shinning directly on her body. I found it interesting that she could sleep during the day, it was just so bright out and in her room too, her light wasn't even on the room was lit only due to the sun. Part of me said to leave her alone and let her sleep, but the selfish part of me said try to wake her up. I caved into the selfish side.
I walked over to the bed and layed next to her. I moved her long wavy hair away from her neck and kissed it softly. I closed my eyes and made sure I didn't touch her bandaged arm. When I felt her start moving around I opened my eyes and saw her hazle eyes looking up at me.
"I've missed you." She said in her sleepy voice.
"I missed you a thousand times more. So what happened?"
She frowned. "I don't wanna talk about it yet ok? I'm just happy you're here."
"Me too." I smiled.
"I'm sleepy."
"Ok. Go back to sleep. I promise to stay."
When her eyelids closed again I kissed her neck again and her eyes shot open.
"Don't do that." She told me.
"Why not?" I kissed her neck again.
"Cuz it tingles Roc."
I put my face in the crook of her neck and kissed it again. "I'm sorry."
"Lies!" She exclaimed.
I kissed her neck like five times and then pulled away to smile.
"Ugh. You suck." She said.
"No you do!"
"Nooo Rocy boo boo you do!"
"Eww don't say that."
"Why? It makes you mad?"
"Mhm."
"Rocy boo boo." She repeated.
In a second I was on top of her with her arms pinned down and kissed her neck.
"Roc stop!" She said.
"Aww why? Does it make you mad?"
She bit her lip and spoke quietly. "No." She lied.
I kissed her lips and then kissed her neck again.
