*RAIN*

Before I went to bed my mom helped me with my hair, I wanted a change for summer. She dyed it jet black, cut me bangs and cut my hair shorter. Now it's just a little bit above my boobs.

"Ma you think Roc will like it?" I asked.

"I think so. You look beautiful angel."

We hugged and then she shut off my light.

"Goodnight mom."

"Goodnight Rain."

I settled in bed and put my phone on the charger, just before I shut my eyes I got a new text message.

Roc- U awake?

Me- Yessss y?

Roc- Just wanted to remind you I can't walk with you in the morning cuz of practice.

Me- I know. Its ok :* goodnight

Roc- Night.

When I walked into my first class of the day I noticed someone was in my seat beside Angie.

"Excuse me, this is my seat." I said to him.

He turned to face me and smiled. Gosh he was good looking!

"My bad beautiful I didn't know." He brushed my bangs out of my face and winked.

I sat down, ignoring how his touch made me tingle.

"Who the heck was that?" I asked Angie.

"Hot right? His name is Justin, his last name...is something that sounds like beaver...but its not beaver I swear! Anyways he's home schooled, but has to take exams in public school."

I hit her with my elbow and winked. "And you like him?"

"Eh, he's cute or whatever but he's not my type."

I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "Whatever you say Angie."

"I love your hair by the way! You look so cute."

"Thanks." I moved my bangs to the side. "You think Roc will like it?"

She nodded before running her fingers through my hair. "He'll love it I'm sure."

Mr.Randal grabbed the thick white packet which contained the script that he was required to read before we took our exam.

"All electronics, recording devices, and camera's must be turned off and no where that you can reach them." He read in a voice that sounded practiced.

The class groaned and I dropped my cell phone into the small plastic bin that was being passed around. Ugh, and it's only Monday!

After the bell finally rang I rushed to my next exam period, because naturally I rush from class to class. I really was hoping to see Roc, I looked at pretty much everyone I passed, searching for him. I sighed heavily when Mr.Rivera's room came into sight, I still hadn't seen Roc. I noticed that almost every seat was open because barely anyone else was in class yet. I wanted to sit up front so if someone tried to cheat off me it wouldn't go unnoticed by Mr.Rivera. I'm not a snitch, but if HE can see I won't have to worry about telling him.

"Come on pal." Ray tapped the desk next to him. "Sit here pal."

I bit my lip and looked at the ground. Why did he want me sitting by him? Behind me he had the highest grade in class, he wouldn't need to cheat off me, or anyone else for that matter. I was about to sit at a desk in the front, but then I remembered how mad Roc got at breakfast the other day when they...shut me out. It's important to him that we're friends, and I don't want him turning against them because of their natural disliking of me.
