*ROC*

It's been two weeks since Rain left and I'm just now giving up on calling and texting her, I never get any kind of response. Me and the guys were cool again, I could handle being around Ray without wanting to choke him.

"Roc go and get me some milk would ya?" My mom asked.

"Sure ma."

I threw on my sneakers that were already by the door, grabbed the keys and went off to Walmart. I put the milk on the conveyer belt and looked up to see a girl who looked somewhat familiar.

"Hey Roc." She greeted me. "Find everything ok?"

"Yeah." I smiled.

I read her employee pin.

"Kasey is it? You look familiar."

"Mhhm. We go to school together."

"Oh. I thought I recognized your beautiful face."

Then she frowned. "Roc you're dating Rain. That's my friend, we're on the dance team together. Jerk."

I got tense and wished she'd hurry up and give me back the card.

"Rain might like if you bought her magazine, just an idea."

I nodded like I knew what she meant and she handed me one from the rack behind the counter.

"Thanks."

She added it to my total, scanned the card and I entered my pin number.

"See ya in August." She told me.

"Yeah, ok."

I was tempted to read the magazine right there in the parking lot, but my mom was an impatient woman and she wanted milk. As soon as I walked into the kitchen I put the milk on the counter and ran upstairs.

I flipped through the thin shiny pages until I opened up to the pages about Rain. On both the left and right page were amazing model looking pictures of Rain in some sneakers. Surrounded by the images were paragraphs that I assumed were related to her.

Rain Johnson, daughter of Chris Meely ("Power" sneaker line creator) has finally entered the modeling world! No surprise that the gorgeous, petite 17 year old has decided to start her modeling career by working with her dad to help promote the new "Power" sneaker line! Remember this face because you may be seeing it a lot more. LOOK OUT world, it's the new face of POWER!

I felt happy for Rain, yet I was angry she didn't tell me, then I was sad because we were no longer together, she she didn't need to tell me. Clearly Rain's been doing well, probably hasn't even thought about me since she left.
