*ROC*

The fact that she slept the day away showed me that she really was sick. When her mom walked in it came time for me to walk out. I got my shoes from Rain's room and headed home ready for bed. When my phone started ringing I groaned. My alarm already!? When I looked at my phone and saw an "ignore" and "answer" option I rubbed my eyes. It was only midnight, it wasn't an alarm going off, Rain was calling me.

"Hello." I said in my tired voice.

I heard rain in the background and realized it was also raining outside.

"Hi Roc."

"Are you ok?"

I heard sniffling and choppy breathing, she was somewhere crying.

"No. I'm..."

"What Rain? You're what?"

"I'm outside your house."

"In the rain!? Rain you're just ganna get even more sick!"

"Roc!"

"What!?"

She took a deep breath and made her voice more quiet. "Can I please spend the night with you. My mom went to her boyfriend's and the power went out and I don't wanna be home."

Without hanging up I ran downstairs and opened the front door, letting her in. We rushed up to my room and she sat on the very edge of my bed. I sighed after flipping my light switch and seeing that my room was still pitch black.

"Stay here. We have candles and stuff downstairs."

I ran downstairs, managing to see pretty well despite the darkness and with ease I found our stash of candles and batteries for our flashlight. When I got back to my room Rain was standing up and crying.

"Baby are you ok?" I asked, setting everything on my dresser.

I was caught completely off guard when she slapped me across the face. I was even more confused when her lips crashed against mine. She was cold, and wet from the pouring rain, but I didn't think pushing her away would help anything. When our kiss ended she was quiet.

"I'm confused." I said, no need to lie.

"Me too."

"I have clothes you can sleep in."

I lit some candles and used the flashlight to search my dresser drawers for clothes she could sleep in. I gave her some basketball shorts and a t-shirt.

"There should be a towel in my bathroom, use it to dry off."

She grabbed a candle and brought it with her to the bathroom. When she came back out she wasn't shivering any more, and that comforted me a little. Not sure of what to do I just put candles on my night stand and got in bed. After hesitating for a while Rain hopped on and went behind me. I was on the outter part of the bed and she was on the inside, her back almost touching the wall.

"Roc." She mumbled.

"Yeah?"

"Do you like me?"

I scooted closer to her and smiled.

"Yes. Do you like me?"

"Yes."

"Cool." Was all I could manage.

"Roc." She said again.

"Yes Rain?"

"I'm in love with you."

Her words excited me, it felt like my heart popped. I've loved her for a long time, but never knew how she felt.

"Oh so you love me? How could you not?"

She laughed and hit my arm. "Shut up."

"Make me."

She bit her lip and looked away from me.

"Well. Roc do you love me?"

"Yes."

"Then why? Why did you let your friends bully me? Why did you bully me? Why?"

I gulped feeling suddenly like she was trying to make me look like the bad guy...which I was, but she killed the mood.

"I-I don't. I don't know. I was stupid."

After a long time of quiet I got an urge to tickle her, so I did.

"Stop!" She yelled through her loud laughter.

"No!"

"Please Roc stop it!"

She squirmed around like a dieing fish and continued laughing. If she was laughing she couldn't really want me to stop could she? Exactly. When I finally chose to pull my hands away and let her breath she moved extremely close to me.

"I don't like to be tickled." She said, glaring at me.

"Awww is the little baby mad?"

"Yes."

I smirked and grabbed her waist. "Good."

We both froze when my door opened and my mom appeared.

"Oh Rain, it's you making all that noise?"

She giggled and tried to pull away from me, I wouldn't loosen my grip. "I'm sorry ma'am." She said to my mom.

"Oh no worries. I'm just glad he didn't have some hoe up here."

"Mom!" I yelled.

"Sorry, sorry. I'll go." After she shut the door it opened again instantly. "Roc."

"What ma?"

"Don't be stuipid. I ain't raising no nappy headed kids. You two be safe."

Rain's mouth fell open and I laughed.

"We will mom."

When she shut the door again I kissed Rain's cheek and she hit me in my stomach.

"Roc! Why would you say that!? Now she's ganna think we have sex! Why did you have to lie!?"

I bit my lip and looked away from her.

"Well...it doesn't have to be a lie."

She hit me again in the stomach and I laughed, kissing her cheek. "Goodnight Rain."

"Goodnight ugly."

I was greatful that again I got to fall asleep with her in my arms.
