*RAIN*

After dinner I helped Ms.August wash dishes and wipe the table. I liked the bond we got going, I hadn't seen her since I was really little. My dad and Roc's used to be really close, until 8th grade and I asked my dad to not bring him around anymore. Then a year later he and my mom split up, so did Roc's parents, but I didn't even know that until Ms.August brought it up at dinner.

"You wanna come over tommorow?" Roc asked me.

His mom put her hand on my shoulder and smiled.

"Tommorow? It's Friday night why don't you hang out here for a while?" she offered.

"Uh, sure. I'll have to ask my mom and see if she has plans."

"C'mon I'll drive you." She continued.

While I changed my clothes and grabbed some movies and snacks I could hear my mom laughing with Ms.August. When I went downstairs they were both still laughing.

"Back by eleven right?" My mom asked me.

I nodded and then Ms.August dropped me off at the house before going back to mine to "catch up" with my mom. I figured they were ganna go out somewhere and drink, cuz that's what they used ro do, when they were close.

"Ah you brought Pringles!" Roc yelled.

"Mhmm." I smiled.

He opened them and put like 30 in his mouth all at once.

"Don't forget to breathe." I commented.

He rolled his eyes and kept stuffing his face, we had JUST eaten dinner and he was still hungry. After Little Rascals played for a little while I wanted to talk, the silence between us two felt abnormal.

"Roc." I said.

"Yes ma'am."

I laughed then sighed. "How come you didn't tell me your parents split up?"

"Oh uhm." He started scratching his head. "I didn't feel a need to tell you."

I shrugged and then leaned on him, it was a valid answer.

"You sleepy?" He asked.

I yawned, answering his question. We layed down and then he pulled a blanket over both of us. I turned around to face him and not the tv.

"I freaking love you." I reminded him.

"I freaking love you too."

We laughed together and then he rubbed my cheek.

"What would I do without you?" He whispered.

"Go crazy." I guessed.

"No. Cuz it's you that drives me crazy."

I smiled and he traced my lips with his finger.

"Rain you are perfect."

I frowned. "No I am not."

He kissed my cheek. "Well then I guess I'm ganna keep lieing to you."

I shrugged. "I guess so."

The corner of his mouth went up slightly and he just shook his head.

He kissed me softly and then I put my head in his chest.

"Goodnight baby." He said.

"Goodnight." I mumbled.
