*ROC*

"Hey Ms. Johnson, is Rain awake yet?" I asked, holding her bag of things she left at my house.

She frowned. "Well...um... I dropped her off at the airport like an hour ago."

"The...airport? What is she doing there?"

"Roc. She's gone, she went to New York to be with her father until August."

I dropped her bag on the ground. "What!? Why!?"

"She said she left something upstairs on her bed for you."

I eagerly picked up her bag from the ground and ran upstairs. I still felt surprised when I found that she wasn't up there waiting for me. I set her bag down again and sat on her bed where I found an envelope and black shirt of mine that I once let her wear. I slid my finger under the flap of the envelope and pulled out a letter written in her neat and girly font.

Dear, Roc

You need to fix things with Prod, Prince...and Ray. You guys used to be best friends and I'm sorry I ruined it. I decided to spend some time with my dad so you and I could spend some time apart. You're single now. I love you, and you know that, but I don't feel like we've been all that good together.

, Love Rain

I crumpled the paper in my hand and threw it on the floor on my way out. I walked back to my house in disbelief. Rain couldn't just leave me, she wouldn't do that. Right? When I got to my house I walked slowly up the stairs and slammed my bedroom door behind me. I folded my black shirt and put it in the back of my closet, promising to never wear it again.

To me she'd only been gone a few minutes and I was already missing her, wondering how I was supposed to go on without her here. When I managed to soak in the fact that she really left I called up Prodigy and told him I wanted to meet up with everyone at his house and he agreed. I did miss them, but I was in love...of course I would've rather layed lazily in bed with Rain than play video games with the guys.
