Palm squeezed Nueng's arm a little tighter as he felt anger rush through his body as he realized that Nueng was totally mistaken. The young fisherman had never thought of Nueng only as a master. It would have been too easy otherwise.
Feelings were not known to be simple, anyway. Especially when they were directed towards someone as complex as Nueng.
"And... what exactly do you see...?" asked the latter, holding his gaze, which was no longer threatening, as if Palm was suddenly reminded of memories that Nueng had no idea he would be able to keep in his head as moments to be remembered as a red-letter day, from his point of view.
Palm slowly loosened his grip, until Nueng, whose heartbeat had doubled in intensity, was again completely free to move. However, the tension was far from having descended.
For at the same time, Nueng's eyes did not leave Palm's. Or more precisely, they didn't want to leave each other.
As if they both wanted to make this moment last for eternity.
"Someone I want to protect... Forever," Palm added in a whisper, which kept echoing between them for many more seconds after the silence had returned.
They couldn't even hear the rain that was pouring down in increasingly impressive quantities outside.
It was as if they were isolated from the rest of the world. Simply one with the other. One close to the other. Closer and closer.
Driven by a force he was now totally submissive to, Palm raised a hand, shaking, and without having any idea of what he intended to do, brought it up to Nueng's face. The latter watched him without saying anything, but not without feeling anything. His breathing became more distressed as his skin got closer to his.
Just as Palm was about to back out, however, Nueng suddenly grabbed his hand to prevent him from reconsidering his decision. All the while, his gaze remained locked on his. Tomorrow, he might be angry at himself for being a little too bold. But he would be even more angry at himself for breaking the spell before it had even begun to show its effects.
So, before Palm could say anything that might change either of their minds, Nueng guided the young fisherman's hand to his cheek. A touch that electrified him immediately. From then on, through the look he gave him, lost between apprehension and impatience, Nueng let Palm decide what to do. While his master's fingers remained on his, as if to secure him in his actions, the young man experienced the sensation of his skin gradually warming up under his palm. Nueng closed his eyes when Palm became a little more confident, and let his fingers slide down his neck, then up to his chin. When he reached his plump lips, Nueng puffed more loudly, making Palm shiver.
It was even better than he imagined. To feel Nueng reacting to his touch and on top of that, showing signs of appreciation... This whole thing was really driving him completely insane.
