Chapter Fifty-Eight - Secret Clubs

After the Christmas holidays, I haven't talked to them, besides Emma checking up on me every now and then. I suppose... she's a good friend. I've never been that fond of Christmas, always reminded of having to be with family... precisely because of my mother. She wasn't very, as they say, "cheery" during the holidays, always too "busy" to spend happy times.

"Mommy mommy!" Exclaimed a little 5 year old me. "Daddy said we could decorate the tree together. Are you coming?"

"Dear I am far too busy to be dealing with decorating right now, maybe some other time." Which is what her mother had said every time every year she asked but there was never "some other time" to help so I stopped asking the year before I even attended Hogwarts.

Looking back, I don't regret not spending Christmas with her. I think it would have been even more horrible if I did. Once I finish getting ready I head out of the dorms and to the Great Hall.

"Ms. L/n. May I speak to you in my office for a bit?" Umbridge's shrill voice pierces my ears as I walk down the hall.

"Of course." I respond dryly. Following her to her office, I regret all my life decisions leading up to this moment. No one looks forward to talking to Umbridge privately in her office, especially when her voice sounds the way it does.

"Now L/n, I bet you're wondering why I asked to talk to you here." She says as we sit at her desk.

"Yes, I'm curious." I'm actually not, I just want to get this over with as soon as possible.

"Well, you see, there has been a rumor going around that Mr. Potter has formed a secret club teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts."

"I see. So what exactly does this have to do with me?" I don't really see what she wants me to do about it, it's not like he would tell me anything about it.

"Since you are a member of the Inquisitorial Squad, I need you to do something about since it is against the rules to form a secret club without the permission of me." Umbridge explains to me.

"Alright," I don't feel good doing this. "What do you want me to do?"

"I want you to follow them in secret and tell me where the members all go. I want to get rid of this little... 'organization' as soon as possible. The other members of the Inquisitorial Squad will be helping you with it."

"Ok, I'll do it." I agree hesitantly. I really don't want to do this.

"Thank you. You are dismissed." Nodding, I stand up from the seat and walk out back to the Great Hall. I can't blame Potter for starting his club thing. Umbridge is pretty much useless for our DADA lessons. She does nothing but make us read textbooks, which really doesn't help us at all. If I was given the opportunity, I would join Potter's little club. I bet Dumbledore gave him the idea. What did they even name it? Dumbledore's fan club? I wouldn't be surprised if they did, they're practically in love with him.

Dumbledore acts nice to everyone, but he only helps people if it benefits himself, hence why he has never helped any Slytherins and has just left them to suffer. Whatever, it's not like we need his help anyways.

Let's just get this over with.

Chapter Fifty-Eight End

I am so sorry that this is short, Vivian hasn't been helping me. I will try to make chapter 59 longer, and hopefully Vivian will actually help me with it.

Thank you for all your support <3 I appreciate so much! Seeing your kind comments every day fills me with happiness and motivation.

While I write chapter 59 you can read my other fanfics to fill time up.

I'm also writing my own book so that's taking up time.

Once again, thank you so much for all your support! I've gained more motivation so writing has been easier for me!

I love you all so much, I can't express how much I love and appreciate each and every one of you <3
