'Hey!' I hear Arizona wheel up to me. She puts her arm around me. 'I need a CT scan on Jamie Fonel, will you book it?' I nod. 'Yeah, sure.' She grins widely. 'Thank you, love you!' She calls while she wheels away. 'Are you sure you guys are just friends?' Lexie comes up behind me and I jump. 'Jesus, Lexie! Yeah, we're just friends.'

I'm sitting in the break room with Lexie when Arizona comes in. 'I have Jamie's labs,' I say while she gets something from the vending machine. 'Ooh! Gimme.' She reaches a hand to take them but I pull away. 'Fine,' She gives me a crisp and i hand her the labs. 'Thank you! Love you!' She kisses my cheeks and leaves. 'We are just friends!' I exclaim to a suspicious Lexie. 'The fact that you felt the need to tell me that,' She smirks. 'Tells me the opposite.'

Arizonas POV

I walk away from Y/n blushing a little. I think i like her but I don't want to admit it. She's my closest friend and I can't ruin that. 'You're blushing. Was it the fabulous Y/n again?' Teddy teases me. 'Me and Y/n are just friends.' I shut her down, trying to hide my tone of uncertainty. 'Yeah, okay. Well that kid, Jamie? He has a tear in his aorta wall. He needs an OR, now.'

Ive finished the surgery and i'm lying down in an on call room when Y/n comes in. She lies next to me for about 10 minutes before turning to me. 'How was the surgery?' She asks. 'It was good. He's okay.' I smile. It's things like this that make me like her. Where nobody else remembers what you were doing, she's interested. 'I love you.' I say, out of the blue. She sits up. 'I love you too.' I stand up. 'No, I mean it. I love you, Y/n. Whenever you walk into a room I feel like kissing you, but I don't. Because you are my best friend and even if you don't feel the same I can't change that. I- I love you, Y/n. I always will.' I'm scared she'll walk away for a second, but she smiles. 'I love you too, but i told Lexie we were just friends.' She grins. 'Gosh darn it.' I say exaggeratedly. 'Shut up,' she laughs and pulls me in to kiss her. I kiss her back, and i feel like we're more than just friends. We're complete.
