'What, you want me to go into the bathroom while you take off your leg?' I ask jokingly. Arizona and I haven't done anything since the crash and I thought tonight would be the night, at Baileys wedding in a hotel room. 'Would you, please?' Arizona bites her lip nervously. 'Arizona, do you- Do you want to do this?' I ask, put my hand on her shoulder. She suddenly gives me a fake smile and nods over eagerly. 'You're sure?' I hesitate. 'Yes of course! It's been too long.' She says. I assume she's just nervous and enter the bathroom. I i then call Leah Murphy, my intern, and ask for my patients post-ops. When she's finished I hang up and call out to Arizona. 'Are you ready?' There's no response. 'Did you fall? Oh god,' I run out and see her sitting on the bed guiltily, with both legs on. 'Y/n, I'm sorry. I know it's been so long and I really wanted this but I just couldn't. I'm so sorry.' She has tears in her eyes. 'Hey, it's okay. I don't care, honestly. We can watch a movie, if you want?' She nods and wipes the tears from her eyes. 'Can I take my leg off?' She asks me. 'Of course. Do you want me to-' She shakes her head. 'Will you um- will you help me?' I help her take the leg and the stretchy fabric off. '« A League of Their Own » is on?' She nods eagerly and pushes herself into the bed. I press play and lie down next to her. 20 minutes in to the movie I look at Arizona and she's grinning widely, staring back into my eyes. She kisses me once before pulling away. Then again. 'What would you say to a junior high make out?' She asks. 'I'll be late for Calculus, but oh well.' I kiss her again.
