Adri and Sam awoke to Dean stuffing clothes into a duffel bag, knocking some items off the counter as he did. Adri rubbed her face, realizing she and Sam had fallen asleep doing homework. Great, she thought. School hasn't even started and I'm already losing quality sleep over it.

"Dean? What are you doing?" Sam asked, stifling a yawn.

"Go back to sleep kids," Dean tried to brush it off.

"Uh-uh. What's happening? Are you leaving?" Adri stood up from the dining table, stretching as she did so. Her joints popped before Dean spoke.

"Dad decided he needs some backup. He wanted me to leave a note for you two so you don't follow." Her eyebrows furrowed.

"Why would we follow? We've got homework." She wondered aloud. Dean zipped up his duffel bag, his hand shaking slightly. It was odd that he was shaking. He'd wanted to go with John. Besides, if John needed backup, why didn't he call Uncle Bobby? Adri's eyes widened. "It's got Uncle Bobby."

"Adri, I'm going to get him back." With that, Dean ran out the door to the impala which was idling in the driveway. Sam moved to follow Dean but John drove quickly out of range. Adri stood frozen in the kitchen, her hands balled into fists, nails digging into her palms.

"I can't lose him," Adri cried. She grabbed her jacket and went to the computer. With a few clicks and a helpful vision, she logged into a GPS tracker on Bobby's phone. He was a day's drive away.

"Adri, what are you doing?" Sam asked, slightly out of breath from attempting to chase John. He watched Adri huff.

"He's my uncle, Sam. I'm not losing him," She answered. He followed her up to her room where she had a go bag all packed. She shrugged it on her shoulder and grabbed a set of keys.

"I get that, Adri. But what are you going to do about it?"

"I'm going to track his phone's GPS coordinates and then I'm going to decapitate the ghoul trying to take him from me." She stated simply.

"Okay, but why can't we let Dad and Dean take care of it?" Sam asked. Adri whipped around, her eyes glowing gold.

"He's my uncle. I have to go. The ghoul is going to do something, I can feel it. Whatever is going to happen, John and Dean can't handle it."

"But you can?" Sam observed every change. He knew something wasn't right about Adri. She was hiding something.

"Sam, you don't know everything about me. If you did, you would kill me." She hurried to the car that Bobby had fixed up for emergencies. She threw her bag into the bag, checked the glove department for her fake driver's license, and turned the key. Suddenly the passenger door opened and Sam was throwing his go bag in the back too before he buckled his seatbelt. "What are you doing?"

"I'm coming with. You can't stop me. But I love Bobby too and if you say something is going to happen to him then we're going to stop it." The two friends shared a smile before Adri reversed the car and began their drive.

It was three days later that the entire group made it back to Bobby's. The eldest owner of the house went straight in to take a shower. He had no energy to scold his niece for her reckless bravery. But he knew, if it weren't for her and Sam following Dean, then he, John, and Dean would've been killed. So he settled for a shower, a beer, then bed. John seemed to follow suit and sauntered off. Dean looked at the two freshmen.

"You two are complete and utter idiots!" He whisper-yelled.

"You're just mad we saved you," Sam brushed his brother off, before going to his room.

"I think he's right, Dean. But it's okay to be saved every now and again. You know that right?" Adri assured. Dean grumbled his way into the shower. "God, boys and their stupid pride." She mumbled before finally retiring to her room.

It was three am when she heard the soft tapping on her window. Adri mumbled some cursing before she rolled over in bed to see Sam sitting on the roof, knocking at the window.

"Sam, what the hell are you doing on the roof at three in the morning?"

"Look, I know you have visions and some kind of telekinesis. I know you feel like a monster and like you have to hide it from everyone. But you're like a sister to me, Adri. I never want to see you hurt. So right now, I want you to know you can tell me anything. I will never tell another soul. I promise." His voice was quiet and emotional.

"Do you want to see something?" Adri asked. After Sam nodded, she took off her ring. Her eye glowed gold, and, and he watched as the windows unlatched themselves and opened so she could join him on the roof. Once she joined him, her fingers glowed, and Sam watched in awe as she demonstrated her telepathic abilities with the old cars in the salvage yard. They stayed until the sun came up, talking about her magic and her memories of her mom helping her with it as well as some angel-like man teaching her in fever dreams.

Yup, he definitely knew about her after that night.
