I don't know how time flies. Two week has gone by like hours and to top it, it has been the most -weirdest, awkwardest, eye contact breaking with a certain someone, heart racing, avoiding being alone with that someone, less communication with that someone and overthinking every little thing -week of my life.

I have successfully tried to avoid being alone with him for obvious reasons, that has to do with my growing feelings for him.

But I didn't know it would be hard.

Per usual, my head is currently buried to my desk in math class, with my headphone in my ears. I'm surprised am still not asleep.

It's excepted though.

That has been happening recently, because a certain brown haired boy with grey eyes, that I fight myself not to get lost in everytime our eyes clashes, has been occupying my mind non-stop.

I don't like it.

Yet, I can't control it.

It's even harder to not think about him when he's sitting right behind me. We have math together, unfortunately.

The uncomfortable poking of something pointy at my back makes me sit up. I look back to find Cade responsible for the action.

He gestures for me to take off my earphone, making sure not to attract the attention of our math teacher.

I take my headphone out of my ears to give him my attention.

"You okay?" Cade ask. He gives me a worried look to assist his question.

"Why wouldn't I be?" I keep my voice down.

He twirls his pen in-between his fingers stylishly, looking at me like he's trying to find something I'm not telling him. Only that there's nothing to tell.

"Is everything okay..." he paused, looking hesitant to complete his words, but does so anyway.

"Is everything okay between us?"

My mouth sets to question him again, but stopped when our teacher calls out our names.

"Miss Carson and Mr Night, would you like to share what you're discussing with the rest of the class?" I roll my eyes at the easily detected annoyed voice of Mrs Bright.

I turn back just as Cade says no and a fast sorry. I didn't say anything, ignoring the stupid whispers of nosy teenagers besides us.

Mrs Bright turns back to the board and resumes her teaching.

"I know, she can be very annoying." Daya whispers, who is seated on the chair beside me. She narrows her eyes at our teacher who is doing some equation on the board.

"You don't have to tell me twice." We both laugh quietly.

She looks between Cade and I. "Are you guys good?" My brows automatically furrow at the question.
