After spending the last two hours organising and decorating the house for the party, everyone lets out exhausted breaths, dumping themselves on the couches in the living room.

"Someone please tell me why I agreed to come with you?" April fans herself with her palm.

"Just accept the fact that you love spending time with us April, there's no harm in it." Ophelia throws a sheepish smile her way and April rolls her eyes.

"We did a good Job." Zayn admires the Halloween decorated living room. The front yard and backyard were decorated as well.

"Everything looks good." He adds and they all nod in agreement.

April stretches her phone to Zayn. "My phone has been acting up lately, could you check it out for me?" He takes the phone from her.

"Why didn't you just take it to the phone store?" She rolls and cracks her neck. "That's extremely stressful."

"And why do you think I can fix it?" He arches his brow at her and she offers him a duh expression.

"Aren't all Asian guys like tech geniuses or whatever?" She questions mindlessly.

"Wow that's real rich April." Daya shook her head at her, while April stares back cluelessly.

"That's a stereotype about us, but I'll be more than delighted to help." Everyone could detect the sarcasm in Zayn's voice.

"Thank you." April clearly didn't acknowledge the statement being offensive, showing a toothy smile to a very unimpressed looking Zayn.

"So your parents are cool with you throwing this party?" Jacob ask Zayn, playing with Daya's hair, who is laying on his lap.

"Yeah."

Although Zayn's parents are never home, but he did ask them for permission. His Mom was surprised, because he usually isn't the throwing-a-party-typa guy, so she agreed without a second thought. His dad was pretty cool with it too, so we had nothing to worry about in that aspect.

"Shit. Your parents are so cool. My parents would flip if Ophelia and I decide to throw a party of our own." Jacob snickers.

"Like you haven't pulled that stunt before." Ophelia says.

Everyone starts talking, but they're voices were quick to fade from my ears when my eyes locked with the hazel irises that makes my heart race.

The edges of my lips couldn't help but hitch up into a little smile. I can't control the internal happiness I feel just by looking at her. And the fact that she doesn't know she has such effect on me amazes me.

She responds to my smile with a little one of hers. I keep telling myself we can't be together. That she is too good and pure for me. That I won't betray Zayn and claim her the way I so badly want to.
