"Freya."
"Freya, are you there?" At Ophelia's voice, I shakily grab my phone, trying to steady my hand.
"Y-yes." That stutter is the least of the negative things happening to me right fucking now.
They are going on a fucking date?!!!!
I suddenly feel nauseous.
Shit! Fuck! No!
Why?
"What was that sound?" Ophelia ask and I shake my head even if she can't see me.
"It's my phone, it slipped from my hand." She easily accepts my answer.
"I finally did it Freya. I asked Cade fucking Night out and he said yes! I can't believe I'm this psyched for a guy but I can't help it, I really like him." Ophelia lets everything out in one breath.
Stop!
Just fucking stop Ophelia!
My heart feels like it's ripping out my chest.
I hate myself. I hate myself for hating them together. I'm a bad friend. Ophelia doesn't deserve this from me.
"I'm happy for you...for both of you." I manage to get out, despite feeling like my world is falling into pieces.
"I know you are, that's why you're my favourite person on earth!" Ophelia is so excited, I bet nothing can tear down this height of happiness she feels.
"I'm almost at the restaurant, so I gotta go." A fucking fancy restaurant? I guess Ophelia is going all out for him.
"But I'll call you once it's over or tommorow. I'm coming over tommorow to spend the night anyway. I can't wait to see you!"
"Can't wait to see you too."
I wish I'm happy for her. Like genuinely and undeniably happy for her, because she's my best friend and I told her I will support her.
But here I am, basically dying at the thought of them being together. At the fact of them being together.
"Take care of yourself. I love you, bye!" She bids me goodbye. I can literally feel her joy through the phone.
"Bye Lia."
Immediately the call ends, a bile rises up to my throat and I rush to the bathroom. I emptied my tummy in the toilet, everything I ate this evening all gone.
