⁂⁂⁂
"Now that I think of it, we could've just gotten ready at Zayn's place. Why did we have to drive back home?" I look at Ophelia through the vanity mirror, but said nothing in response to her sudden realisation.
We came to Ophelia's house after leaving Zayn's house. I slept over here yesterday, so my costume and belongings are here as well.
I thought of it too, but I'm honestly glad we left. I needed the space from Cade. I don't know what's happening between us.
I can't tell which side of us I like more. The comfortable moments or the awkward tensions, I definitely know it's not the latter.
"Hey Black Widow, are you listening to me?" Ophelia's voice brings me back into reality. I chuckle when I realised the name she just called me.
"I'm not Black Widow." She runs her eyes down my body despite me sitting.
"Your costume says otherwise." I roll my eyes and she laughs.
I originally wanted to go with a banana costume, but when you have a fashion-crazed bestie like Ophelia, anything unstylish and not eye-catching is an abomination.
Although, I can't deny how sexy and hot I feel in this costume. Is this how Scarlett Johansson felt too?
"Now pick what shoe I should go with." Ophelia raised two different colours of versace platform heels to go with her Harley Quinn costume.
I stand up from the chair in front of the mirror I've been sitting on, since I finished my makeup and fixing my short ginger wig that matches my black leather costume.
"You're the fashionista Lia. I don't know why you keep asking for my opinion." I walked to her bed and flop down on it without a second to waste.
"I can't choose between the pink or black, they both look so good." She whines like a child.
I sigh and look at her. "The black will do." She instantly tosses the pink heels away after squealing happily.
I laughed at her happy state. "I look fire."
Ophelia admires herself in her full length mirror, then turns to me. "You look in flames." A laugh escape my lips.
She rushes to me and jumps on the bed. "We're total badasses!" I was very quick to avoid her body landing on me in the state of her excitement.
I would hate if my makeup or wig ruins in anyway, after spending the past two hours working on them.
"I love this short hair on you. Who knew you could pull off a ginger wig?" She molds my wig down my head, making me laugh.
"Your pink and blue tips are pretty too." I say to her and a proud look appears on her face.
"You don't have to tell me twice." She dyed the tips of her hair pink and blue that's packed in pigtails.
