Auntie Abby and Little Ali

The Meeting

7:00 am the next morning
Abby pov:
i wake up by the blairing sound of my alarm maddie and mackenzie didn't go home till really late and maddie was alot last night im exhausted. i see a text from melissa "hey did you know they want the kids at the meeting! i called and told them about maddie and they said to just bring her with a mask! " she says "oh boy. how was her night? " i ask "rough. A lot of vomiting and coughing " she answers back oh boy i think to myself. i go to ali's room to wake her "hi princess its time to wake up! " i say she nods rubbing her eyes and then immediately clinging on to me "morning mommy " she says holding me tight i hug her back "morning my sweet girl " i kiss the top of her head. she squeezes me again "were going to school today me you and maddie and melissa because we need to talk to some people okay" i explain and i see her face get anxious "are you gonna leave me there?" she says scared "no baby but why dont you wanna go to school? " i ask she squeezes me "okay. can you get dressed please " i ask she starts to cry "whats wrong?" i ask "no school clothes " she says "no honey just regular ones okay? " i tell her she nods and stops crying latching on to me again. "okay okay " i say gently and pick her up on my hip and bring her over to the closet with me. "what does my princess want to wear ? " i ask she points to a light pink plain long sleeved dress. i grab it out and then i hear her stomach gurgle i know she's stressed out. "are you okay princess?" i ask concerned she shakes her head. "baby its okay. were just going for a little bit im gonna be there the whole time." i try and assure her she nods but still looks incredibly anxious. i dont even ask if she wants breakfast because i know the answer will be no right now. i help her get dressed in her little pink dress and white tights i put ballet flats on her feet and start to do her hair. her stomach makes another gurgling sound. but she doesn't speak to me just stares at the mirror silent. " baby are you okay? do you need to use the bathroom?" i ask again she shakes her head. i sigh. i brush then put her hair in a ponytail with a bow. " are you ready?" i ask "yes" she says hugging me again i walk her to the car and we get in. i buckle her in hearing the noise for a third time. "babe are you sure you dont have to go potty?" i ask once again she shakes her head. "okay. " i say i get in the driver's seat and start to drive.
Alison's pov:
i cant believe i have to go to school. i dont wanna go to school anymore i always get sick at school and people yell at me. and why a meeting? why is my principal going to be there. why is auntie and melissa and maddie going to. how is maddie going isnt she not feeling well. i dont wanna go to school. school scares me it scares me that we are having a meeting. i cant tell auntie about any of my worrying or scaredness because if i do she might not wanna deal with me anymore and send me back to my mom. My stomach is doing cartwheels and i have to use the bathroom but im too afraid of auntie taking care of me again so i dont tell her and i hold the pain in and pray it goes away. All of it keeps getting worse as i keep thinking more and more my mind keeps racing and the pain grows stronger. but i just sit in the back like a good girl and watch auntie drive.  We get to the school and the pain gets kinda bad. auntie holds my hand as we walk in and we sit down at this big table with alots of spinny chairs. Everyone is already there even maddie who looks pale and kinda sick. the pain gets even stronger "mommy i have to use the bathroom " i say as my stomach gurgles "okay honey would you like me to go with you? " she asks i shake my head "can i go with you" maddie asks Auntie and melissa look at each other. "okay but be quick and im gonna tell you again alison, she has the flu so if you want to be too sick to play clara then go head and get close." melissa says auntie nods maddie and i head off to the bathroom and i make sure to keep my distance. i go into the stall and sit down and empty my tummy. "al you okay? " maddie asks " yeah... when i get scared and i cant stop thinking. this happens. " i explain " are you finished?" she asks " i think so " i respond back as i empty my stomach alittle more " now im finished . " i say i get up and out of the stall and wash my hands. my stomach is still in pain but now its bare able. when i was with momma that was her rule to only do things if it became too bad to go on. "dont tell my auntie okay?" i tell maddie walking back "she doesnt know ?" she questions i shake my head "no worries ali your secret is safe." she says as we walk back in and sit down
Abby's pov:
"you okay baby ? " i whisper to ali she nods "okay lets begin" the principal starts "were here because alison and madison should not have talked to tina the way they did when she asked alison to finish her breakfast. " she says "um no. were here because madison defended alison when she was being forced by tina to eat. " i say back i hand them the documents of alison's diagnoses "that document shows alison has irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety and she had a parasite chewing on her intestines. this cause alison the inability to eat sometimes and maddie knew about the fact that ali cant eat like that. " i start "well, that doesnt excuse the conduct code that was broken. " the other principal starts and thats when Mary steps in "i have something to add. " she says "yes mary of course" the principal says "First of all the wrong doing begins with the first action. The first action is Alison being forced into eating every last bite of her food. Which in turn made her so sick she later vomited all over herself. Madison was just defending Alison from the first action. Which means if the first action would not have happened Madison would not have remarked the way she did and Alison wouldn't have followed her out of the lunchroom which means they both wouldn't have been break conduct. So I think Tina is the one at fault here and your lucky Ms. Miller is not trying to sue the school because after Alison left school that day she was incredibly sick and this incident caused her a trip to the emergency room which is stated in the paper work. None of this should have ever happened and we aren't even talking about the teacher who told Alison no when she asked to go to bathroom so she did not vomit all of herself and her desk which can we considered humiliating for a kid and again is punishable by the staff code of conduct." she finishes "so what your saying is you think the incident should be dropped?" the principal asks " we'll considering Ms. Miller could technically sue us if she wanted to and is chosing not to i would say her giving us grace is a reason for us to give this situation grace before she changes her mind " Mary says " okay well then the conduct is dropped. we are very sorry for the inconvenience Ms. Miller and Ms. Ziegler
" the principal says "so they get to be disrespectful and get away with it?!?" tina says "Tina if you dont wanna lose your job for the wrong decision you made. and a little kid having to suffer and go to the hospital then i would drop it" mary says she nods "so the kids are good to go?" melissa asks "yep they can return to school whenever they are both better." mary says the principals nods " okay thank you" i say as i finish the meeting i see alison's social worker calling me. i cant pick up so i wait and get a text "abby please call me as soon as you get this" the message reads. As everyone walks out i see melissa "hey can you please watch ali for a second i need to make a quick call she cant hear " i ask "yeah no problem abby" i go off leaving alison with maddie and melissa i call her back "hey abby i have some bad news you need to bring Alison to court this afternoon. They are calling an emergency hearing about her custody." Anna says and instantly my stomach sinks " did they say why?" i ask calmly "no they just said the ray court house at 1 pm" anna states "okay. ill be there." i say "thanks abby and dont worry im going to back you over your sister." she says and my stomach sinks even futher. " okay. and alison has to be there? " i ask once more "yes alison has to be there. " she says and the words go right through me "okay. " i sigh and we hang up i walk back over to the girls and melissa "uh oh you have that look on your face. what happened?" melissa says inquisitively the girls are busy looking at the nuton balls bounce back and forth. "well there's an emergency court hearing " i admit "when ? " she asks "today" i say "oh boy a day before thanksgiving? by the way what are you doing for that? " she asks "well my sister and mother want me to bring alison but with her recent anxiety that literally causes her body to go out of whack i dont really wanna put her through all that. " i explain "well you can always come over. the girls can play and maddie wont be contagious anymore and you know my family so i really dont mind. were gonna cater it. " she says i nod "that would actually be nice. And i know alison would have a good time and i wouldnt be stressed because ali would be okay. so i think thats a great idea " i say "well great dinner is at 2. what are you gonna do about alison's anxiety over the hearing" she says "well im gonna try and prepare her and then im gonna stay super close to her so she knows im not giving her up." i say she nods "well if you need ill be here. " she says supportively "well thank you! " i say back "als we need to go !" i tell her as she comes walking up. i see her ponytail bouncing such a cute kid i think to myself. "are you hungry?" i ask she nods "wanna go to friendly's?" i ask and i see maddie's pouty face "i wanna come! " maddie whines "well first of all we dont whine. Second your still highly contagious so im gonna have to say no. " i tell her she pouts "maddie you could barley hold food in your stomach last night. " melissa adds "no" she says alison hugs me and nods "okay baby lets go. bye maddie bye melissa see you tomorrow!" i say taking alison's hand leaving the school. I drive to friendly's and decide it's not to tell alison until shes eaten that way she eats something because she hasn't eaten much at all in the past couple days. We get there and go in and sit down after a short jam session of some disney music in the car. God watching her smile is the best thing ive ever seen. she looks around like shes never been anywhere like this. she colors her kids menu and we play tic tac toe together and im dreading this news. "do you know what you both would like? " the waiter comes over "yeah im gonna have the classic burger and shes gonna have the kids mac and cheese " i say and he nods ali smiles at me "i love you" she says out of nowhere so sweetly i beam "i love you too my princess " i say back i pick up a crayon and help her color a rainbow panda on her placemat and then our food comes at about 12:15 pm. She eats so well she leaves one bite. and i can barley eat my food that's a change. "baby we need to have a talk." i say sincerely i can see the fear in her little eyes " sweet girl can you come here " i ask patting the seat she walks over and i lay my arms around her " baby we have to go to a big building where a man is going to be dressed in black and momma is gonna be there. but dont worry auntie is gonna hold your hand and be right next to you the whole time " i try and explain gently and as nice as possible. she starts to get worried and i hear the noise her stomach makes when she gets anxious instantly " are you gonna leave me with her? " she asks scared "no honey im still gonna take you home after you see her. " she starts to cry. i rub her back "baby i know but auntie has to do this. hey you wanna know something?!?" a thought comes to my head. her head shoots up still in tears " so melissa asked if we could spent thanksgiving with maddie and mackenzie and her and i said yes!" i say knowing this will get her excited "really?!?" she says excitedly and without tears "yes really!" i say back "can maddie and me wear matching dresses?!?" she asks i nod "yeah we can go to target after and do that! " i say she smiles and i smile "your gonna hold my hand the whole time?" she asks gently "the. whole. time. " i say she nods "are you ready? " i ask she nods i pay the bill get her in the car and we head to the court house. on the way there i hear her belly making that same noise as this morning "alibear do you have to use the bathroom " i ask "alittle " she says as we turn into the court house parking lot and her stomach makes the noise again "ali bear ill be with you the whole time. you don't have to do anything you dont wanna. " i explain trying to calm her down. i go to get her out after parking and here the noise again. "als im right here " i say grabbing her hand tight "now lets find a bathroom"
