Five years later:

I got dressed in the traditional clothing of the Metkayina clan before making my way over to the celebration. Tonight the Metkayina clan celebrated that Ao'nung was appointed as heir to become the next Olo'eyktan. When I arrived I saw the party had already started and there was laughter in the air. I look around to see musicians playing a happy tune on their instruments, to see fellow navi dancing and eating together happily. I walked over to my mother who was braiding Tuktirey her hair, she still loved it when our mother did her hair "Mother." I say taking a seat next to her and my sister.
"Neteyam." She kisses my forehead "You look handsome today."
"Thank you mom, you look beautiful as well." I tell her "Shall we dance together?"
She smiled at me "My beautiful and talented boy you should dance with the others around your age. Maybe even start dating to see who you want to mate with."
"Mom, please" I reply embarrassed
"I will dance with you Neteyam." Tuktirey stand up, as she got older she started to look more and more like my mother.
"My lady." I smiled at my thirteen year old sister as I pull her own the dance floor. After dancing with my little sister I saw Lo'ak asking Tsiyera and her little sister to dance while Kiri danced with Roxto, I was happy Spider was back at the Omatikaya clan, he was still crushing on my sister and would be hurt by the sight infront of me. I walked over to Aonung who was pouring himself something to drink. When he saw me coming he offered me something as well. "What is it?" I ask the son of the Chief.
"Liqour." He smirks handing me the drink "It's one of our traditional drinks. Very strong. Are you sure you can handle it.?"
"I can." I take a sip as the alcohol burned my throat and I started to cough.
Aonung laughs " I told you it was strong."
"You did warn me." I chuckle looking up at him "Congratulations at being the heir officially."
"Thank you." He says before looking down " I realized today that I never actually apologized to how I treated your family when you first arrived."
"It's been a while and we have forgiven you a long time ago." I smile "and besides we also weren't the nicest to you."
"Aonung, Neteyam." Roxto walks over to us with Kiri "I see you found the booze, Kiri you have to try this."
"It's very strong." I warn her.
She smirks as she raised the cup to her lips and swallowed the drink without showing us any sign of discomfort. I look at her in shock as she smiles "Well big bro seems like I have a higher tolerance than you."
"She got you there bro." Lo'ak says as he witnessed the entire exchange.
I glare at my younger brother "You try it then."
"How about we all dance first." Tsiyera spoke "I saw you move Neteyam you are a good dancer."
"Better than Lo'ak." I decided to tease my brother back.
"but I am the greatest." Tuk runs to us all "Stop getting drunk and Let's go dance."
