Chapter 11: Ao'nung p.o.v

"Tonowari." One of the scouts ran into the meeting room "The Sky people have been spotted, just outside the riff by the three brothers mountain."
My entire body turned cold, Neteyam was there with a few other hunters. I looked at my father and Jake Sully who were both realising the same thing. "Where are the hunters?" My dad asks.
"Most have returned besides one."
"Besides who?" Jake his voice turned cold "Who is missing."
The scout looked down "Neteyam."
Fear shot through my body, no I thought not Neteyam. I ran out followed by the others from the meeting. I ran towards the hunting party "Where is he."
"We don't know"One of the hunters replied "He was right behind us."
I noticed Jake Sully look around worried but he saw his wife and youngest daughter He went over to his wife to explain to her what had occurred. I saw the worry increase as Jake told her where her eldest son was.
"Why didn't you look for him?" I ask the hunting party.
"We realized to late he wasn't following us anymore" The hunter says.
"You are a clan, we take care of eachother." My dad looks around angry before bellowing commands to get ready to fight, we weren't going to let one of our people get taken.
"Wait." Neteyam his youngest sister screams pointing at the horizon, but no one heard her except me. I followed her hand to see she was gesturing to a Ilu coming in our direction. I focused on the figure before recognizing the him. I let out a breath in relief as I called an ilu and made my way towards him. I could hear Tuktirey yell at the clan that Neteyam was here. I sped up to reach him only to see him bleeding.

"Ma Neteyam." I choke back a sob as I took in his appearance.
"I am here." He says placing a hand on my cheek "I see you Ao'nung."
"You are bleeding." I reply concerned.
"I have been hurt worse." He tries to joke what made me glare at him.
"Not funny." I say as I help him on shore. Jake ran to me and took over from me helping his son walk on the beach. My mother gestured for him to lay him down on the sand. Neytiri crouching down next to him, fear evident in her face. Jake sat besides his wife holding her hand.
Tsiyera hugged me as she noticed me worrying 'It's going to be okay."
"Tsiyera." I turn to her with tears in my eyes
"I know." She comforts me " I am here for you."
" I need him"
"He will be okay, I promise."
"by eywa I hope so." I look at Neteyam.
"Is Neteyam going to die?" Tuktirey asks my mother as she removes the bullet.
"He will heal." She tells her but as she spoke she looked at me before turning to Neteyam his parents "The wound is not that deep and nothing important is damaged."
"I told you he would be fine." My sister squeezes my hand as I watched Neteyam whose eyes had found mine while he was embraced by his parents.
