Chapter 12: Neteyam p.o.v

"How could you be so foolish boy." My father tells me, a crack of worry evident in his voice as I remembered the last time I came eye to eye with Quadritch. "You cannot engage an enemy on your own."
"I wanted to find out if it was really the general." I explain "I wanted to know what he was doing here so we could prepare but he found me scouting the ship."
"And you were sure it was Quadritch?" My dad asks.
"You said you killed the demon." My mother says to my dad in disbelief "You said he was dead."
"He was." He tries to comfort her "I did think he was dead, I strangled him until he passed out and let him behind to drown."
"Spider save him." I speak out loud making my parents stare at me, my father with disbelief and my mother with anger.
"I knew he was trouble." She hisses "I never want him around our family again, if I see him, I will kill him."
"Mom."
"No." she interrupted me with anger raising her voice" I lost you almost twice Neteyam, Twice because of that demon's son."
I hug her ignoring the pain in my shoulder "I am alright mother, I am alive and save."
She hugs me back, tears filling her eyes "My beautiful son."
I heard my father sigh taking both of us in his arms "I love you, son don't ever scare us again and fall back to get more warriors before you explore an enemy vessel again."
"I promise dad."
"Good." He replies
"we will be with Tonowari to discuss the situation of the sky people." My mother kisses my forehead "send someone if you need us."
"I will be fine mother." I tell her as she and my father left our hut.

"it's feels nice to finally been the one who doesn't cause any trouble." Lo'ak grins as he leaned against the wall.
"Oh shut up." I shake my head throwing a pillow at his head.
"Was It realy true what you said about spider?" he asks looking down "I dragged you with me to save him only for him to save the bastard who almost killed you just now."
"That's what Quadritch told me." I nod "I do not know if it is the truth or not."
"I am sorry."
"Stop blaming yourself." I try to convince him

"I don't want to hear it. It is not your fault."
"Where is my brother." I heard Kiri yell as my sister burst into the hut with Tuktirey on her heels. My youngest sibling had probably go out looking for Kiri to tell her what happened me. When Kiri saw me she ran in my arms hugging me followed by Tuk.
"I am alright."
"You idiot." She hiccups "I thought Lo'ak would be the only one to bring himself in dangerous situations. "
"Seems that it runs in the family." Lo'ak smirks but then Roxto, Tsiyera and Ao'nung entered the hut.
"Are we interrupting?" Tsiyera asks "We wanted to see how you were doing."
"Come on in." I smile at her before my eyes met Ao'nung who was giving me worried glances.
