The next day I was helping with a few of the cooks skinning the fish we caught earlier in the morning. Until the horn blew, a sound I had gotten familiar with since living here among the Metkayina clan. The Tulkans had returned. I noticed Lo'ak immediately jump in the water looking for his spirit brother Payakan who saved us 5 years ago from the sky people. I saw Ao'nung run towards me with a big smile "You should meet my spirit brother."
I nod as he grabs my hand and ran to the water with me, he called for a Ilu who arrived shortly after. I sat behind Ao'nung and before we dived in the water, I felt his hand close on my thigh to make sure I wasn't falling off. I felt myself blush at his touch. We reached the horde as they entered the reef composing their own songs as the people went to greet them.
"Cetus." Ao'nung called out before jumping of the Ilu to greet his spirit brother. I looked at the exchange with admiration and a little bit of jealousy, I wanted to bond with a talkun as well but haven't felt a connection with one of them yet. I witnessed Ao'nung communicate with Cetus through their bonds and hand gestures. My boyfriend then held out his hand for mw as I swam towards him. He introduced me as his mate to he spirit brother and I saw Ao'nung smiling as his spiritbrother talked to him.
"What did he say?" I ask curious patting the Tulkan his nose.
"That you are handsome and I should cherish you." Ao'nung smiles "He is happy for us."
"I will take care of him." I tell Cetus "I promise."
"He likes you." Ao'nung replies
"I like him as well." I look at my boyfriend "You two should go out for a swim together and gossip some more, I am sure you two have missed each other."
"Cetus doesn't mind as you tag along."
"I appreciate that." I sign to the Tulkun "But I want you two to catch up first, we can swim tomorrow with all of us."
The Tulkun made a noise of agreement which Ao'nung confirmed "I will see you later." He signs to me to which I nod and watch the two of them swim off.

I swam back to the surface to see my brother in the distance with his Tulkun. I sawm towards them and found Tuk playing with calf. I smile at her hoping that calf could be her spirit brother of sister. "Lo'ak." I shout as he got launched by Payakan his tail. Payakan noticed me and made a greeting noise. I signed to him that it was great to see him again and asked how he had been.
"Stop being friendly with my brother." Lo'ak pouts between the two of us.
"Are you talking to me or to Payakan." I ask confused to which the Tulkun spurted out water to back me up.
"You two are working against me together." Lo'ak replies.
"We are brothers."I pat his back before patting Payakan "We are supposed to tease you."
"Why are you annoying me." Lo'ak pushes me of Payakan making me laugh.
"I will leave you two to it." I smile before swimming back to shore where Kiri was watching the homecoming of the Tulkuns. "Hey there little sister." I sit down next to her.
Kiri smiled before leaning her head on my shoulder "Don't you find them beautiful." She sighs "I love our nature, I love Eywa."
"Kiri." I sigh "I have to tell you something?"
She looks at me expectantly "What is it Neteyam?"
