"So how did it go?" Kiri asks as she saw me walking towards our hut.
"I managed to ride it at the first try." I tell her.
"Look at my big brother accepting his role here." She places a hand on my shoulder "Care to join me for a swim?
"Why not." I smile "What about the others?"
"Lo'ak has ran off with Tsiyera somewhere and Tuk Is swimming with the other kids and her Ilu" Kiri says
"So how is your training with Ronal going?" I ask her. Kiri was the next in line to become Tsahik after our mother would take over from our grandmother back home. But because we were forced to leave and have now settled down here she wasn't going to be the next Tashik. But Ronal saw the quality's of a spiritual leader in her, especially since Kiri seemed to be very well connected with the great mother. She and Tsiyera were being taught by her.
"It is very fun but I do not want to replace Tsiyera since she is the daughter of a Tsahik and earns the title."
"Positions aren't always passed down on family. When someone shows great potential they can become Tashik or Olo'eyktan"
"Still I don't want to impose."
"You are very kind Kiri." I tell her "But sometimes it's okay to want something."
"What about you." She bumped my shoulder.
"What about me?"
"Well you passed the final test, you are official allowed to choose a mate. I know you also took the role of hunter/ warrior on you or not?"
"You know me so well." I smile "But no I haven't found someone I am interested in yet. "
"That I do"She teases "But do you know that a lot of Metakayina woman are eyeing you, it appears you are quite a catch. The handsome warrior son of Toruk Makto who managed to stay in the world of the living."
"They do not."
"They do." She nods.
"Stop it."
"Very well but we both know I am right." She smiles "Shall we race to the water?"
"Oh it's on." I smile before running away from her.
"That is cheating." Kiri screamed behind me as I started earlier than her. I looked back and saw her following me but as I turned around again only to run into someone. I lost my balance and fell to the ground but two strong arms catched me and as I looked up I saw it was Aonung saving me. I heard Kiri laughing behind me but I could only stare in Aonung his big blue eyes as he looked at me worried.
"Are you okay?"
"I am." I tell him "You can let go of me now."
"yes." He replies helping me upright again "off you go."
"Thank you." I smile at him before walking away from Aonung with my cheeks heating up. Kiri laughed as I pushed her before running again.
